Do you have a favorite day of the week?

I hope there's not already a thread for this, but I didn't find one.

I have mixed feelings, but Monday usually is my best day.

If I can avoid it, I never schedule anything important (like a doctor visit, etc.) for Mondays. The neighborhood is quieter, since most neighbors are at work. Also, the whole week lies ahead, and if I don't get everything done on Monday as planned, I can make it up another day.

On the other hand, if an unexpected problem (like a plumbing issue, etc.) happens late on Friday, and I can't contact anyone before Monday to get it resolved, I stress about it over the weekend, which makes Monday my worst day.

How about you?

That was a funny conclusion to your original post above, @MACKTEXAS
Explaining how your best day of the week might be your worst day of the week. 😁

But I understood completely! 😊

Which is also funny.
😄

I don't have a clear winner, but Saturdays have become my favorite, because offices of all types are closed so I dont get the phone calls from them, that I must address, often immediately. That feels more relaxing, knowing that.

On the other hand though 😉
If husband or myself get some unexpectedly worsening medical symptom on a Friday night, then Saturday turns into my worst day of the week.
Precisely for the same reason that it's my best.
That offices are closed.😁

Wait a minute, this sounds sort of familiar.😅

I kind of lose track of what day it is. I got one of those calendars that you flip every day and it tells you the month, day and day of the week. Now, if I can just remember to flip it every day. :sneaky:
One day is pretty much the same as another around here.
I forget what day it is too. Ive missed trash day a few too many times as a result. Luckily I have a big can.
When I have an appointment, I drive myself crazy checking to see what day it is so I dont miss it. :D

I know. I look at the date on my phone to be sure I got it right.
It's amazing how slow some of our days seem to pass, but how fast the years go by.

When I working, I hated Mondays and Fridays.

I traveled a lot to get to work, at it's worse, 4 Hours one way. Doing that on a Friday was bad leading into a weekend. When it was less than that, though never less than an hour, it was a bad lead in to a weekend. Monday I hated because public transport doesn't seem to like Mondays.

When i was still working it was Sunday despite knowing i had work the next morning. I'd get chores done and any shopping i hadn't been able to do on lunch hour or after work on Saturday. Then gave myself permission to relax all the next day-- be online, read, watch movies with DD.

As many said, there's not much distinction when schedule doesn't revolve around work. My first thought reading the title was much like Tommy's. Here, now is generally favorite time. I learned a long time ago that being flexible, adaptable is in the long run a more pleasant way to live. If i run into an issue i vent briefly, with expletives then solve or fix the problem and move on or i figure out how to accept and live with whatever.

It does need to be said that visits from son and grandson are exceptionally pleasing days.

I'm having kind of the opposite experience in that, lately, the days are going by in a blur for me.
I have some weeks like that. Time is very deceptive. Then too, there's the old saying time goes fast when you're having fun, and I've noticed that. But when I'm waiting on something, or when doing some detestable chore, time drags by.

Monday for me. Weekend craziness in the neighborhood subsides and people go back to work or school. Never schedule anything on either a Monday or Friday. People are either too hung over from the weekend or too anticipating the weekend to do anything productive. -Arnold

For years I met a friend for lunch on Tuesdays. That was something I could look forward to. Then during the pandemic we would bring a sandwich and a lawn chair and meet outside or under the portico at a local church. Friends occasionally joined us. Then she got sick and died. A couple of others tried to keep it going but it was never the same.

I think I understand why Taco Tuesdays has such an appeal. Aside from delicious tacos it is a way to make a day of the week seem special.
