Gentle posts for gentle folks

Hey gang! Well, after a few weeks of anxiety like I've never had because of water coming through the floor, it's over. The contractors (3 of them!) worked tirelessly all day yesterday starting at 7:45 a.m. until they were finished instead of dragging it out over the weekend. That's blessing #1. Blessing #2 would be that the cost was only half of what the massive estimate had been.

Adrenalin crash is going to be rough, but I'll take it... I felt it as soon as I opened my eyes. :giggle: Right now I'm going to catch up on all of your posts here to see if Kaila actually did manage to stay out of trouble. :ROFLMAO:

We have a high of 88F/31C with a 50% chance of rain today. So not too bad given the heatwave we've just endured. There was a chance of rain yesterday that didn't develop so here's hoping for today. 🌧️ The plants would love it. 🪴

@CallMeKate, so glad the watery floor issue worked out so well! Gosh, when does that happen that contractors finish early and charge less than expected? Happy for you! 😃

@Kaila, glad your Thursday physical therapy session went well, and you got a start on a project. ☺️

Since it's summer and has been really hot, I've switched to iced coffee. ;)

And especially that it's completed ahead of tentative schedule and for less money. Whew!

After all I've spent so much energy on trying to behave , that i have to let go now, and just can't hold it all in for any longer!

Thank you so much for that note about Thursday. 🤩
I could do almost nothing , after that then on Friday,
But today , Saturday, I was able to do a small but significant next step on that project.

So therefore, it's no longer on our floor now🙄😬😉😁

And it can now wait a long time till I make the next attack on it. 🙂
In fact, numerous other tasks will come before getting back to continuing with that one.

But I feel good about completing that part or stage of that one for now. Whew.

I hope you get some rain soon. A nice gentle rain. 😊☺️🤭

It worked! 😃

Husband is working today. I was hoping he would take today off because he hurt his back a little on Friday and it is sore. :( He said today is a fairly easy day and, as he'll then be off for a couple days, he wants to work through it.

Nothing new going on here. Looking forward to a peaceful day and wishing the same for everyone here.

Good afternoon, been a beautiful day, not too hot, just very pleasant.

Granddaughter looked beautiful in her prom dress the other day.. but then I'm biased. ;) Her mum dropped me off at the front of the school before dropping granddaughter off at designated place. I was able to see her walk in but I was very good and didn't wave at her, I just stood and watched. To be fair, all the girls looked lovely. She had a great evening, and that's the main thing. Then she came round yesterday and we looked through the prom photos on Facebook together. She doesn't have a Facebook account... but I do :cool:

I normally go to their house for my evening meal on Sundays but my son has been away (work) and is travelling back today, won't get back until later this evening. However, youngest son and grandson are coming round to see me. I might get the Scrabble board out.

Good Morning Everyone ..(still morning here @Pam :)) … hope your day is good, and pain is minimal.

Our ‘normal’ extreme heat/humidity has sure been affecting so much of the country. Hope y'all have your A/Cs in working order.

We are getting in on the heat dome effect next week, and there is a hint of tropical activity starting to take shape.
So time is here to get all Hurricane supplies up to date and ready for what may come this year.

I hope everyone is in fine fettle. Today, we're going on another drive in the country to spot horses. Will stop somewhere for a snack.

Sometime, in the near future, I must go through closet/drawers, to put together clothing for Goodwill. We fortunately have a Goodwill container in our building, which is convenient.

and today I JUST this minute noticed;
that you said you would maybe steal some.....:oops:o_O😱😣

It doesn't seem at all like you 😏😂😁😊 to be contemplating stealing anything from anyone......😉☺️😄
