What's your greatest strength

I use a lot of common sense and never pass judgment on someone I don’t personally know. You have to be able to apply common sense while flying. All of my intelligence didn’t come from books. Life is not that simple.

IMO, most replying on here have more than one “greatest strength “. We just don’t recognize each of them until push-comes-to-shove and we have to put forth a new strength.

Three years ago I would have replied I am Master Drill-Sergeant-Organized. Then husband became so ill with prostate cancer that I was not only caring for this farm & my horses, I was caring for him literally 24/7. My new found strength was digging deep and finding the strength to care for him and keep him comfortable until the end.

I am a praying person and believe me, I prayed a lot for strength then and I pray a lot for strength now.

Proof of an Aries absolutely Honesty....

5minutes 28.... number 17 of 20..... that's me ..to a Tee......the whole thing is me 'm archetypal Aries... but number 17 is the part about the honesty...

@hollydolly, I've had the same experience. Especially when I moved from NY to CA in my 40s and suddenly people were telling me I was "so direct." (Somehow I knew it was no compliment). A few weeks ago, at this piano bar I go to regularly, a woman I talk to told me that I make her happy. I said "How come?" genuinely wondering, and she said, "Because you're authentic." I loved that, and my post on here is the first time I used the word, think I'll stick with it. Feels more authentic than "honest"!

^^ When I say something I seem to be automatically either disbelieved or they're stunned. Because in reality most people don't want to know the truth... ^^^^ .................. :coffee: ...

An honest opinion leaves little B.S. room for a responder to try to evade it.

I think my greatest strength is Emotional Intelligence. It is the ability to read other people's reactions and respond or take action appropriately. I managed a group of salespeople at one time and if you don't listen and truly care about other people they have no motivation to do their best for you. I still keep in touch with at least 4 of them as personal friends because I understood their priorities in life and what made them tick.

I have a close cousin who has no Emotional Intelligence and her responses to other people can often be seen as insulting and make it seem like she never listened to anything anyone told her.

My Dog was named Aries, that was back in the late 70's / 80's

My ability to grab a bucket of ice cream when topics like this come up and pretend I’m making life decisions.
Honestly, I’m like the “let me just think about this over a few scoops” kind of person. Whether it’s figuring out my greatest strength or picking the best flavor, I take it seriously. If you catch me in the middle of a deep philosophical moment with chocolate chip cookie dough in hand, you know things are getting real.
