It had to happen...July 4 isn't even until Friday, but this morning I've seen ads for Thanksgiving. Is it just me or is holiday advertising happening earlier and earlier?

ha ha, joke's on me... I needed to shampoo one small traffic line and the area rug in my living room. I borrowed Ed's Bissell "vacuum-on-steroids" model (one of the earlier ones). Of course, there was no manual. With YouTube and help of son, finally got things assembled and did traffic area and like 1/3 of the area rug (it is 9x12, granted). My back told me in no uncertain terms 'No-Mo-Today!!' Plus, emptying and cleaning the reservoir--Eeek... (You would think as a nurse who can deal with blood, poop, or drainage I could handle it-- *not*-- ICK) I might get my son to finish the area rug tomorrow but I can see from here on out the professionals will handle this job.

Howdy from a very hot place..... it's almost 9pm it's apparently 83 outside but it's 92 in here with all the fans on... earlier today the temepratures outside reached 92....

Tomorrow is set to be hotter still.

we went to Cambridge ( Cambridge Uni, you've probably heard of )which is only a short drive from where I live... just to be near the lakes..and water...

I've done all the laundry since I got back... and now I'm going to have some dinner....*phew*... hot is is not the word....

No this is Cambridge City... small city... but home of the Famous Cambridge University!....almsot as famous as the uni is Cambrdge' s penchant for Bikes.. it's like little Amsterdam there...

A large fan in an upstairs window / attic exhaust will help loads Doll. ... ... Think whole house exhausted when the sun goes down.
Air from shaded side of the house drawn in. Think N.W. wind direction, around midnight it was shaded this afternoon, it will be like 20 mph coming in that window. with an exhaust fan running blowing hot air out upstairs. Temps in the low 70's soon there.

it's already dark here , it's 10.45pm... the temp inside the house is 91 deg.... the fans are on full blast and the sweat is running down my face like tears .

Well, it's a good thing I didn't post any high minded ideas about what I would accomplish today because besides eating, all I did was nap and talk on the phone. My BFF and I were on the phone for a little over an hour. Another good friend and I had a lot of catching up and laughing to do, so we were on for almost two and a half hours! About to eat something and watch T.V.

@hollydolly Stay cool! Remember my cooling trick with the cucumber peels. Oh...another thing: that tip about hanging a wet towel in front of a fan is backwards. Hang it behind the fan.

Woke up today to find out my cable provider is no longer showing Spectrum News, NY1. It was like I was punched in the stomach. To alleviate my shock, I tried to watch yesterday's Beyond the Gates to find out it was not available.

I know it sounds like nothing to others but I am crushed by the loss of NY1. It was like the individual broadcasters were my friends, people I've known and loved for years.

I take my pleasures seriously. I have so little. I'm very hurt by this. Very sad.

Good morning, it is sunny now but rain maybe this afternoon. Stalled out system that might be tropical still over the entire state of Florida and could affect the fourth of July activities and a lot of heavy rain. One has to wait and see.

@Pepper, I hate when those things happen with TV shows. I hope it can be fixed.

Morning all, on my early walk at 6:50 temp was 73 cloudy but muggy as I walked around the building twice a before breakfast
This morning at 11 will be attending resident council meeting,which is held 1st Tues of every month.The heads of committees give us updated reports. I've missed the last 2, we get an email couple days later with recap of meeting
Every month,we get in our mailbxs calendar of events,noticed something new starting this afternoon at 2,'walking club' I don't know what other residents enjoy walking as much as I do,but will ck this out

Afternoon guys.... very hot again today.... slept very badly last night due to the heat and despite having the fans on..., and I woke up with my sore arm excrutiatingly painful. I think maybe because I was driving yesterday and I've tried to rest my arm by not driving for a week... and it seemed to be improving, but today it's really painful again...

I had intended going out today... but I can't because tomorrow I have a dentist appt , so I have to drive there....
