Anyone Else Have Cherry Moles?

The medical term is cherry angiomas. I have one on my upper arm which is about the size of what is shown in the photo but a slightly deeper shade of red. I have another smaller one on my chest that's the same color as in the photo. I've had the larger one forever and the smaller probably a couple of decades. According to this and other articles I've read, they are harmless and do not need treatment or removal.

I think I have a few of those. One on my arm and one on my 🦵 leg. The one on my arm got bigger because I picked at it. It hurts a little . The dermatologist cgave me a shot in it. It didn't do much but I don't worry about it.

I saw a dermatologist for a different reason and she asked if I wanted her to do a body scan . I agreed.

She looked my entire body over and said nothing was that abnormal. I also have some weird spots that peel a little at times. She said they are hereditary.

Just like regular moles and those brown 'skin tags,' i suspect messing with them carries a risk of them morphing in some way that could be more problematic. When my daughter or i get any of this stuff where seams rub them we'd put a bandaid over them to stop the rubbing. interestingly they're usually gone in 3-6 days.

I've had skin tags. Three of them. A razor blade took care of them. There are nerves in there, it stings a bit. Nothing major.

Moles? I wouldn't touch those for obvious reasons.

Interesting Feywon. Your and @VaughanJB's replies reminded me that I had a skin tag under my arms for years and never messed with it, except a couple of times when I would feel it (it felt rubbery). It never bothered me though. A year or so ago, I realized it was gone. I don't know when or how it happened.

My grandmother used to remove skin tags by tying a piece of white thread around them to cut off the blood supply. They usually dried up and fell off in two or three days.

I choose to just accept and live with mine.
