Absolutely. For every so-called "expert" making these claims for content/income generation on YouTube, there will be just as many others saying those very same fruits are essential for a senior to eat. It's all a bunch of malarkey. (now there's a word I've rarely used before!)I would not pay ANY attention to one of these quacky scare videos.
I would not pay ANY attention to one of these quacky scare videos. Eat Whole Foods as much as possible, including a lot of fruits and vegetables. Minimize eating of processed foods.
The idea that everyone should avoid grapefruit or any of the other fruits listed ( I started watching but he took so long to get to the point that I stopped at grapefruit) is just, as you said, quacky scare mongering.
Do you not see, then, the title of "I Am Begging Seniors to Stop Eating These 9 Fruits Now. Destroy Your Heart" as click bait? "Fruits to Avoid While Taking Certain Medications" may have given a tad more credibility, don't ya think? He never said everyone should avoid grapefruit, he clearly explained that some people should, because it can interfere with certain medications.

View attachment 435135 Sorry, mister... I'm not very good with taking orders. You go ahead and stop eating fruit if it makes you feel better.
Fruit fight! Fruit fight! Get your rain coat!Kate, you might want to work on your reading comprehension because I never said I was going to stop eating fruit. I said the video explains why certain people shouldn’t overdo it, which you’d know if you’d actually watched it instead of twisting the point to avoid admitting you didn’t. But sure, keep pretending the title is the whole story, it says plenty about how you "take orders".
I apologize if you took offense at a perfectly normal response. It's been fun... but you're trying too hard to get arguments going with those who responded to your thread.

For the record, I watched it and not sure why you're assuming I didn't. For the most part, the information was accurate. The clickbait, however, is very off-putting and misleading. If actually watching the material before weighing in on it is too much for you, that’s your choice, just don’t expect everyone else to treat ignorance like an argument.

I eat large servings of fruit daily. There is always a large quantity of fruit available for us to eat. In my fridge right now are strawberries, watermelon, raspberries, apples, blueberries, cherries, blackberries, bananas and grapes. The choices might change depending on what’s on sale/looks fresh etc. My doctor is aware of my diet, specifically my fruit and vegetable consumption, and is complimentary of it. There’s never been any issue with drug interactions for which I’m thankful. Don’t know how I’d manage if I couldn’t eat all the fruit I wanted.
Simple for me … if I didn’t eat fruit, I would be loading up on cake, cookies and ice cream. …give me fruit..
