Finally getting some weed whacking done.
And for the ones that didn't get slapped around,, had some spray left to get them with.

Tangled with viney Morning Glories,,,pulled a bundle of them out of the lilies.

Deadheaded what I hope, was white Foxglove & put them where I hope they will grow.

Tomorrow & Thursday,, Hubby & I will be out of town.
At another hospital for EMG testing.

Am curious to see what we earn form them.

I wish I could sew as well as your wife. What skills she has! I like the suit on the right the best.
How did I miss your lovely compliment. The lady is standing behind me, leaning over my shoulder she read your post, smiled and said:
"Aw shucks!" Then added, "you must thank her for such a kind compliment." It's duly done. Thank you.

This was yesterday. At this point I'm 20 miles into the ride over Trail Creek Summit and I've seen 1 truck. This is the northern entrance to Copper Basin. It's an outdoor rec mecca, world class trout, hiking, biking, motorized and non motorized trail riding, mtn lakes, wildlife viewing, hunting, camping, etc.

Southern End of Copper Basin. Thousands of acres of giant boulder dotted sagebrush flats.

View south from Antelope Pass, 8000'. The haze is from fires burning south of the Snake River plain. The next few miles descending turned was supreme challenge for my skill level. I kept my poise, and did well. Being a year into riding I thought I've come a long way, just to throw myself an atta boy!

A quick side trip up this drainage known as Smiley Meadows. Will return later for sure to explore it.

Superb !

This is a columbine.

I had to stop at this ski area once I noticed it during my route selection. It's known as Blizzard Mtn Ski Area, it's run by the Lions Club of Arco about 25 miles a east. They open on Saturdays only when conditions allow. It's held together by duct tape and bailing wire but give those old boys credit for making the effort for their community.

It's 710' vertical feet. That is the warming hut and there are a couple porta potties outback.

BlizzardMtnLift.jpg

The route brings me back to the highway just a few miles east of Craters of The Moon. At this point I have see 2 trucks in 80 miles. Now I get back on the highway to get buffeted in the wind and by the semis on my little 250 at wide open throttle. The speed limit is 65mph and 70 miles of highway to get home for a total of 150 miles.

BlizzardMtnMap.jpg

On the ride I saw 8 antelope, but no deer, elk, or grouse. Added to the antelope are quail, mourning doves, American kestrel, and a garter snake.

Are those telephone poles out there?

There are power poles through much of Copper Basin as there is private property, ranging from cabins to a dude ranch, to real ranches, and a few single family homes. The prime bottom land is private and the rest is USFS and BLM.

But I suspect you're looking at Blizzard Mtn. Those are the towers that support the cable that the tow lines come off for skiers to get towed to the top.

Another brutally hot day here. It's the South. It's what happens in the summer. Is there a place where the daytime temp is around 75-80 and the 50s at night? That's where I want to live...where our autumn temps are year round. We were teased with "possible" thunderstorms around 3 yesterday, but it didn't happen. It's been very dry here for about a week, and the lawn is getting crunchy.

Nothing much on today's agenda except the usual turn around the garden to deadhead and weed and water, all to be accomplished before the heat sets in around 9-930.

Morning all, the birdies woke me up around 4:45 was able to drift back to sleep, woke up around 6
On my early walk at 6:50 temp was 70 sun was out as I went around the building once before breakfast
Later this afternoon I'll be walking 3 blocks back to the apt building where I use to live, the annual summer party will be held in back of the beautiful garden from 5-8,I'll stop by for awhile

GOOD MORNING BREAKFAST CLUBBERS, SO PROUD TO SEE YA!!!!, LOLO..anyone remember that?? Slept till 6am, if a little
fitfully....woke up to almost no aches or pains...which is great!!!
This a.m. I will order breakfast delivered!!!! YEP GONNA TREAT
MYSELF!!!, THEN LATER THIS P.M. WILL ORDER FROM A STEAK
HOUSE, FURTHER TREATING MY SELF LOL....A FRIEND WILL
BRING CARROT CAKE CUPCAKES OVER AT SOME POINT...this week also marks the end of 43 years with no alcohol...so lots\
of reasons to be grateful.....love you guys/gals...see ya later....;):giggle::devilish:🥰

Well...what a day..what a night. My computer was running sluggish, had been for a few days, so I cleared all the cookies.. and when I went to sign into everything none of my password were accepted..so I was up half the night trying to fix it..

I've managed to get the p/w for one email... and p/words for the forum... but my main email , where all the important stuff goes is just not accepting my password, and then it says.. reset password, we'll send a link to your phone.. and of curse my phone is my old number which I changed last month...so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Can't get into the email... and can't the code to reset the password because they're sending it to a number that doesn't exist.

Looks like I might have to pay someone to come in and fix this.....:(

Son/grandson picking me up. I will spend night at their home, while son/dil go to concert. Coming home, by AccessARide, early tomorrow morning.

Still depressed. Trying to fight the good fight against being so.
I don't understand Pepper.. your son knows you're not well.. did you offer to babysit, or did he ask you ?

He asked, a while back. I can't give in to my avoidance of things. I'm trying to isolate myself, and must get out of it. Don't want to sink into the muck, must fight back.

Want to accept every invitation that comes my way. Must break down the Fortress of Solitude I built around myself. Very depressed from being alone so much. Alone. I hate this constant alone. Must fight back.

Afraid if I don't will lose the depression battle and spiral down to doom.
