Adblock Plus Took Money

I noticed that they had taken £1.99 from my Bank Card, yet
I never authorised it, nor do I to my knowledge, have any
account with them!

The free version has been on my PC for many years and lately
they have been pushing for payment, the above figure is not a
lot, I know, but that is for, either per week or per month, but
they have lost me forever.

I tried to get through to them, but their site is blocked by Google,
when I got through, the page was only text, text that I didn't
understand, same when I tried to get their customer service, so I
went to my bank and stopped any further payments, they will have
to call me now.

If you have this on your computer, keep a close eye on it or on your
bank account, if you do internet shopping.

Maybe it is a scam and not really adblock?

Otherwise, how did they get your card number if you did not sign up an account?
I thought about that, That lady in PA, I don't know, but what
I do know is that Google knows the card number, expiry etc.,
it offers it up when I am filling in the details for a purchase an
any site that requires them, it offers the last 4 numbers on the
card, if I click them, the form is completed, or the card number
is added to the form, with all the dates.

Can your bank not stop them from continuing to charge you?
I've called my bank, a couple of times and asked them to... it solved the problem for me.
I did say in my original post that I asked the bank to stop
any future payments, I didn't bother about this one as it
seems like too much hassle.

Would a scam not entail more than 5 bucks taken from your account?
I did mention at the beginning that they are looking for that
amount, as monthly or weekly payments, to continue using
their programme.

Sorry Mike... my mistake.
I overlooked that part completely!

I had a similar situation with Total Adblock. I downloaded the free version and it did a great job. They had an offer for $2.00 per month so I decided to try it. My first invoice was for $9.95. It took many emails and a few phone calls to rid myself of this product.

I have AdBlock Premium. I pay a subscription fee once a year. I find it worth it. I hate ads, especially the ones on YouTube. It blocks the ads on You Tube. I see a pop up message telling me that adblockers are illegal on YouTube. Then it's gone and the video starts.
