So frustrated at the few self-entitled folks here...

I don't think talking about race or ethnicities is banned here?

racist remarks- yes, they would be banned in most places - - but that is different to civil discussion about race or ethnicity
It's not banned as such, but no one brings it up either. Too sensitive for some people.
Try it and see what happens.. be careful. Everything seems racist these days, to some folks.

Matrix has asked, time and again that we use the REPORT button instead of arguing back and forth.
He often tells us this
We really don't know that he doesn't have some now.
We DO know he’s got moderators. Nathan moderators the mental health forum , Ruthanne moderates the section that asks members a personal question and OneEyedDiva moderates about ghosts, and supernatural. As moderators they CAN remove posts. They don’t have the power to ban anyone. So that’s 3 moderators we know of.

Really, I didn't know that. 😲.........well, that's a good thing, I suppose. :)

Wow, I had no idea. Why are they not identified as such? I've been participating in forums since 1992 and have never been on one that did not clearly identify the mods.

Or have I missed something?

Matrix has posted about needing help moderating the forum. If any members had an idea about a new section , he asks them to moderate it. When I suggested the mental health forum, I wanted the forum but didn’t want to moderate it so Nathan volunteered. Luckily Matrix agreed.

Thanks, @PeppermintPatty. It seems like moderators should be identified as such -- for example, by a label on their avatar, similar to the "Senior Member" etc. labels.

That's right....forgot about them! :D

I would guess a few have been trapped into replying to a political thread.
I don't know but the report buttons on the bottom

Don't wonder around about personal frustrations. ... :coffee: ...

Nuclear missiles will be on their way to North America, and the only thread topic allowed will be Aunt Myrtle's Spicy Gravy Recipe.
I think the number of cities and casualties forecast pretty much sum it all up as the end of Civilization as we know it.
I saw today that the date is 2040. The towel will need rewashed again. It would be nice if it was my day to go out with a bang.

You know the mouth washing button is there for us! It usually lettered "groan"

Nah …ya can’t ….remember there are Aussies here reading / participating in threads :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: @seadoug

We are spending a week in Canbera ….where all the politicians make the rules ….Canbera is the capital city of Australia .

even everything thats known about is is stored here in Canbera ….

Next week we intend sitting in on a ( parliament sitting session ) for find out what they are going on about this week

Parliament House, Canberra - Wikipedia
I would never say anything negative about Australia. It used to be part of my territory in sales. We had a sales office in Sydney. I've visited Sydney (three times), Melbourne and yes... Canberra! Some of the nicest people on the planet. The Aussies in this forum know how much I love them!

That's good because one thing Australians rarely discuss is politics, they vote (over 90% turnout) then forget about it until the next time.

So go for your life...
Please read my response right above yours. I was trying to be funny. I know how Australia works. ;)

Would this qualify as someone

"who don't have either the decency or self control to abide by the no politics rule."

Quote from another thread about soc. sec.

"That’s the reason that I bought my new car and everything else that I was going to need in the beginning of January before this administration took over. Now I don’t intend to buy anything but necessities for the next four years."

well can't think of any topic to try it on - but if I said ,for example, I have noticed more football players in last few years of Sudanese background and they seem to have tall lanky body build suitable for key position players - that is mentioning race and ethnicity and I cant see why it would be too sensitive for anyone nor breaking any rules.

I think it’s childish to report a post for any reason and it’s better to just ignore it.

if a post is blatantly breaking a rule and likely to lead to a thread hijack or is nasty to another member - I think it is better to report it AND ignore it.

mod's cant be everywhere and can only do something about things if they know about them.

And a hug back to you @seadoug … we’ve been to Parliament House this morning and booked a seat to set in question time when parliament resumes after the school holidays

I hope we get to see our PM I’ve got allot of admiration for him , he was born to a unwed mother who raised him alone with the help of his grandmother / he was raised in what we call a housing trust home ( government owned subsidised housing for low income earners ) and he gained a good education by his mother working in the unskilled
workforce….to send him to good schools .

I Remember when I first seen our PM on TV he was struggling to string a few sentences together
now days, he is in his second term as PM ~ and he speaks with power in his voice in a nice clear voice
My saying is he’s been in parliament a while now and “ grown a backbone “

:unsure:Apologies if this is crossing the line into Politics:unsure: …..I’ll get it deleted if i offends ….

I remember visiting an aircraft museum in Canberra. It was pretty interesting. It might be worth checking out if you have time.
