I feel sorry for the poor schmucks that got stuck with having to march in that Parade. I only had to do that once. That was in basic. Had to do the old "eyes left and salute some two star in the stands as we marched by. I'd take KP over parade duty any time. Even if it was pots and pans.

Happy Birthday to the U.S. Army! Thanks to all of the men & woman who have served this nation since the Army was founded.

There isn't enough thanks to give those who served in the Army that made the ultimate sacrifice for us. Sadly, too many take for granted the freedoms these soldiers died for. God Bless Them All!

Happy birthday to the U.S. Army and thank you to all that have served.
The first foreign battle the united States fought was with the Muslims of Tripoli who were attacking American merchant ships and stealing their cargo and enslaving or ransoming their crews. The Marines were formed to defeat them which they did and this was immortalized in the first line of the Marines Hymm - From the Halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli. And, the United States has spent trillions of dollars fighting Muslims ever since over their ideology to conquer the world and bring it under Islamic law.. I wonder how veterans feel about the slow Muslim infiltration and take over of the U.S?

Religious wars are never going to end cause it's not really religion.
It's an ideology carried about by selfish - evil people. Basically everything
loose stolen and carried away. Holes in walls, windows broken out.

One can sometimes tell where Moslems are by screens torn off windows in
apartment buildings. There is a belief in a mosaic style of window shade thing.

My experience is well educated are glad to be here and work hard to stay.
Many still have to go home and reapply, I think.

US Navy salute to our comrades in arms. You're buying your own beer though
When I was in Vietnam aboard an Army LCU that was carrying PX goods to a base in Can Tho, we would stop in Nha Be and visit a Navy maintenance ship(I forget the designated). We would barter some of the beer we were hauling for stuff like fuel filters and diesel injectors.

Yep, good old Cumshaw, keeping the US military operating smoothly since (well before) 1776. It was amazing how much five gallons of ice cream could get you on the trading market in a hot country.
