Do you use wrinkle creams? Does it work?

Retinol irritates my skin and eyes. Here is a natural retinol alternative plant based cream. I've used this once before and just bought another jar, along with the same brand of 1,000 Roses night cream. Love this brand, been using variations of it for years, pricey, but worth it, IMO. No miracle wrinkle remover, but it feels good on the skin and moistens in a natural way without harsh chemicals. I'm 72, and since I've been using it, I look like I'm only 71.

Most people get some kind of positive result from retinol cream. I don't use it anymore and have switched to products that help firm skin because I really don't have wrinkles. I have sagging, loss of firmness.

I use topical fillers which are not injected y plastic surgeon. I apply them directly to my skin at home and it does lift a bit. It's a little bit sticky so it fills in any minor imperfection. Minor is the operative word. It makes me feel better so I will continue to use it and I won't complain.

Update, I used this one last night for the first time, and loved it. It went on smooth and in the morning my skin still felt soft and I could feel a bit of the cream left. This morning I used the other one, think I will stick with these for awhile.

I'm not ashamed to say I've used wrinkle creams since I was in my 20s. Aramis used to have a cream for men and I used it constantly. I follow a guy on Youtube who is in his late 50s and looks 30 and have tried some of his recommendations. As a result, I now use The Ordinary for skin along with a caffeine serum under my eyes. The Ordinary is not expensive and it makes my skin tingle.

My mother always used wrinkle creams (mostly Clinique in her later years) and her skin was a testament to good care. She was 85 when this pic was taken, so I'm sold.

I have spent fortunes over the years on so called miracele potions and lotions.. none of them work any better than the Aveeno moisturiser I've been using for the last few years... with

However something interesting is that..as a tst, whe I put my moisturiser on every morning, I use just my right hand..( well when I have a right nad that works)... not both hands... instead, I use the residue from my face and neck , and rub the Aveeeno on the back of my left hand.

I've done this for a whole year.. not putting any moisturiser on my right hand, just the left.. and guess what?.. there's is absolutely no difference in the texture between the and that's been moiturised and the hand that hasn't!

I do occasionally add some Prai to my routine.. but its very expensive and so only a tiny amount is needed...

Whatever you are doing is clearly working! Of course, good genes help as well.

well the funny thing is, I really didn't bother with moisturiser until I moved to Spain.. when I was late 40's... and wore SPF ...every day. So i got into the routine, of swimming first thing.. then showering, adding the moisturiser, and then the SPF... and I've just kept that up..sans the SPF except in summer ....

Thank you, and yes, Chris Gibson is the one! :ROFLMAO:
yes..he's absolutely amazing ! he's 60 now, but I remember when he was 56... and I had been trying to get my husband to use moisturiser on his skin, and he wasn't having any of it... so I showed him a CG vdeo.. and asked him to guess Chris's age.. and he dismissevly said.. 28... he couldn't believe it when i told him he was 56..

.but that's what comes of really looking after your skin for 40 years as Chris has done ...to be honest, almost obsessively..

One of my favorite beauties and celebrities of the past is Mary Ann Mobley, who was Miss America, 1959. I clearly remember a TV talk show she was on in the 80s, where she was asked about her beauty regimen, and she said all she used on her face was Vaseline. But, I've searched the internet, and can't find any link supporting that.

If she was telling the truth, it's surprising she could get away without having clogged pores and a host of other problems.

She died in 2014 at age 77. The attached picture of her was taken at age 74. [Some fine lines, but otherwise her skin looks good. It seems that if she had undergone plastic surgery, we wouldn't see those lines.]

No. Having been a cosmetic advisor , I can tell you moisturizing is the answer for Most people with wrinkles.
Moisture for the inside and outside is best bet. Keep in mind genetics also plays a big factor in wrinkling.
I had a 86 year old hunch back little lady, with barley any hair who was always looking for wrinkle cream. I told her one day- your 86 your suppose have wrinkles ! You need a moisturizer to soften them is all.

Every morning after showering I rub a little Fruit of the Earth aloe vera under my eyes. So far no bags or dark circles under my eyes and my crows feet seem to have diminished some.
