"Stephen King is a master of creating terrifying characters, whether they be monsters or people. Yet in his Dark Tower series, he also wrote one of the goodest boys in all of fiction: Oy. As a billy-bumbler, a unique creature native to Roland’s realm, Oy is a combination of dog, badger, and raccoon — but is also so much more, posessing remarkable intelligence for a small mammal. First introduced in the third book, The Waste Lands, Oy quickly becomes a beloved member of Roland Deschain’s ka-tet, demonstrating both loyalty and bravery."

Aww Man I thought your name was off the way the British use "Oy" like Hey You or OK :ROFLMAO: Learn something new every day!

My Grandpa used to sing "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling" just for me, no one else. In his honor and my love for him
That song was the first thing that came to mind when I saw your username, @IrishEyes. :) It's a long-time favorite of mine. My mother said her grandfather, who came here from Ireland, would sing her Irish songs, and that was one of them. I grew up listening to Irish songs, mostly Bing Crosby's versions.

Oy the billy-bumbler was a very cool character. My daughter has a billy-bumbler tattoo, also has a dark tower tattoo and the phrase "go then, there are other worlds than these", and to take it further she has Oy as part of her lisence plate. Think she's a fan?

Awesome :)

My favourite and saddest quote about Oy is by Roland when Oy dies.

“The body was far smaller than the heart it had held.”

My eyes still fill up when I read it.

My name is Bonnie, but my goofy friends thought it needed an update on their website …. so JustBonee came to be…. and I decided to use it here too.

Horseless Carriage came about because someone that I know joked about my 78-year-old car. It has such things as semaphore indicators, a choke cable, a starting handle, an opening windscreen, (for demisting) and other long forgotten items. Said friend claimed that if it was any older, horses would be pulling it.
To this day though, I wish I had given it more thought. Reason is, I know the perfect name that would suit me.

I chose “Been There” because I have traveled extensively. Probably to some places where others would not want to go, like perhaps Cleveland. Just kidding, although Cleveland probably isn’t on anyone’s bucket list. The city has had a bad rep since the 60’s when it was called “The Mistake On the Lake.” It has made a comeback, but is still a dangerous city. They have also cleaned up the lake since dumping sewage into it.
