An update about dog sitting Tage this morning.
Dave was standing at the front door waiting for me to come in, Tage started barking until he heard my voice,he got so excited, sounded like he was crying so happy to see me. As usual, he jumped on the sofa waiting for his TLC,tail wagging, then he put his head on my shoulder-priceless!
I didn't; bring my lunch except for petite carrots& an apple, Marcia told me yesterday she had made some chicken salad, left some for me it was delicious. Tage did get some carrots and part of the apple. I was there from 10-1,son Alexei came by ,he dropped me off back here
A perfect way to end my week

Son is driving in from Calif to look at some homes in Southern Missouri, He let me know when he reached Amarillo all was good.
He will come up my way Sunday afternoon and stay until Wednesday noon, I can't wait.
So today was rug shampooing day, got it done. Tomorrow is dog shampooing and yearly shot day, which will be so much fun. And TA-DA the heat wave is back. So I sure am not whizzing through this stuff.

I am so sick of this year.. 2025 has been a horrible, horrible year.... what with all my divorce situation, and battling the ex through lawyers... to the car crash and all my injuries and now have to battle different lawyers because of that third party denying liability... ... and now to my daughter, losing her job...

...and even here on the forum, a few of our long term members have had serious health issues requiring them to be hospitlized this year....... it's just been a Hell year... I can't wait for it to be over !
It’s really been a mix these past 3 - 4 years. I drive across St. Louis area 4 years ago and no cars in parking lots at 11 am. Has the world infatuation to use plastic ruined it?

Irish Eyes is your son considering a move back to Mo. from Cal.

I head back to St. Louis region tomorrow after a week at our lake home doing all the stuff I should of been doing all summer. Just so hot this year. Got a week of decent 80’s days
and mowing, golf carts and UTV are in good shape. Cut out the Mo. scrub brush that
tries to take every square inch there over. Saw a 200’ Wind Turbine generator blade on the
Transport to a new build.

Unlike here in the Uk where it's almost impossible to park unless we get there very early... because of the over population now....
Traffic here in St. Louis area has picked back up now to a Considerate of Crazy wouldn’t
exactly cover the speed limit. The worry now is where is the pot holes or the tire tread of
an 18 wheeler lies. Most every route has a Crew trying to repair it now. ask Seri before
heading down a route is the facts now.

Today I didn't do anything of note except have a nice, one and a half hour conversation with my oldest grandson. I tried to post this last night, but my internet went out. Yesterday was a busy, somewhat productive day. I walked to the pharmacy to pick up one of my meds that for some reason OptumRX, my mail order pharmacy is not stocking. On the way, I saw a fairly new pharmacy that's much closer to home and stopped in to find out if they carry Rybelsus, if they accept my pharmacy card (OptumRX) and would it also be $0 co-pay. From what the pharmacist said, looks like that may be my new pharmacy. When I left the other pharmacy I walked over to the supermarket to pick up a couple of things.

I napped in the afternoon. When I got up, I did my nails and started getting ready to go to the Jazz concert in the park the next town over. It was from 6 to 9 and we got there early. The band was just setting up. They know us, were glad to see us and told us to set up right in front of the bandstand. My Honorary Daughter (HD) let me use her folding camping chair and set up a tent over me to shield me from the sun (which after about a half an hour, really wasn't necessary). Nothing like great live music and in a park setting...even better. The Rec across the street had a bathroom, so that was a relief (pardon the pun). :)

During the break, the deejay played some good music and I danced with the keyboard player. HD also took a couple of pictures of him and me and selfies of she and me. We support them whenever we can and I'm glad they had a good turn out. When I went back to the car, HS#3 popped up and surprised me.

I didn't think he would make it. He said he saw his pastor and others he knew there. He also got the opportunity to do some networking for the radio show. He said he had been looking for me...but guess he didn't see me because I was covered by the folding gazebo, although I had texted him that I was right in front of the bandstand. I won't be surprised if he goes with us next time.

At one point, I looked up and the sax player was right in front of my seat playing to me! Then he moved through the audience.
Here I am with the keyboard player, who is hidden in the photo above and with HD. I was in the blue tent.
