A Nice Walk ( with photos )

So lovely!!!! Do you help with stacking and bringing in the wood for your fires?
Yes, I do. The piles of wood at the back of our property are split with the wood splitter and put into the woodshed. From the woodshed it gets put into wood boxes just outside our house. Then it gets brought into the house and put into a wood rack . From there it gets put into the Woodstove. My husband does most of this.

The last 2 pictures are from a different
beach.

The seagulls seemed to be from 3 different groups. One group was on the beach standing . It looked like the were waiting for the others. Then 2 separate groups of seagulls flew down into the water calling the others. Then they all flew away. It was very cool to watch.

Today we went to the park. All the hiking trail paths were labelled as off bounds as we expected. We did our regular walk but didn’t go into the woods to end off our walk. We turned around and headed back the way we came.

Before we got to the park we had to stop for a boat gong through the channel. It’s the first time we’ve seen it open. The road actually opens and closes to let the boats go to and from the Atlantic Ocean to Bras D’ Ore salt water lake.

Here’s a yacht out in the Atlantic Ocean.

The walk is much longer than cutting through the woods but we are ok with that. We ‘have’ to be. 😝 lol.

Have a great day.

Today was sunny and 22 degrees. It’s a beautiful day so we went on the old railroad track made into a pathway along the Atlantic coat. We took some water for our dogs.

Have a wonderful day.
I really really really want to live somewhere it looks like this !!!!!!!!

That’s a good idea but we generally do our walking in the mornings. We’ll figure something out.

This morning’ we walked at the back of our property. My husband made some paths with the atv trail. I find them difficult to walk on. They are much easier to walk on in the winter once the snow falls. It covers up all the rocks and branches. That’s after my husband has made trails with the atv.

This is our wood chipper that my husband uses to make mulch for our gardens. There is one pile of wood. We have about 12 piles of wood stacked and drying for our Woodstove.

These trails go back and forth along the width of our property and stop a full kilometre behind our house. It’s clearly marked with ribbons on the trees.

Thanks Kaila. I love the ferns also. As kids I remember pickling ferns to make forts.

I love the beach also. It’s so peaceful walking along listening to the waves rolling in. It’s even nicer when there’s a gentle breeze coming from the water.

Today we walked on a dirt road that went into a subdivision and I forgot to take pictures but I have pictures of a walk we took the other day along a beach which I didn’t show you.
It was 26 degrees both days and sunny.

Great photos! The last photo with the white tree and broken branches reminds me of a Brother vs Brother home show where they were competing to see which one made the best renovation. One brother actually picked up a branch like one of these white ones and placed it above the bed as a decoration, lol.

How did you make the forts?🤔
Sounds so interesting, and fun too.
😃

Did you pick large fronds and weave them somehow?
Get string and branches from trees tied together for the frame and use ferns overlapping for the walls and roof. I did not know how to weave when I was a kid. I STILL don’t know how to weave fern leaves as an adult. Lol

Thank you. The white wood you’re referring to is called drift wood ; many use it for decoration. We have some driftwood outside used as decoration

Today we went to the park again and saw lots of boats. The first boat we saw was the one going through the channel.

There are three people who supervise this procedure. The boat bridge is only available from 9 to 5 Monday to Sunday .
Here is another boat coming in to go through the channel. IMG_0072.jpeg

Here’s a different type of camping trailer.

And here’s the lighthouse

Today we went into the city to find a new walk. We went to the post office buildings and walked down to the water from there. We found a short boardwalk that turned into a nicely paved path with flower boxes every so many feet.

To the right of the pathway were boats docked in the water. ( Atlantic Ocean )
