Addictions and carousing Kennedy style!

Patrick Kennedy has just told the tale of his family's curse in a Sixty Minutes interview and a book. Patches, as he is warmly referred to by his RI constituents, got drunk for the first time at the age of ten and was pretty well stoned while in Congress. His father, Ted, as if we didn't know, was his role model for his behavior. I am so tired of these legacy political families and their problems and surely you are, too...
 

Actually the title of one of my many books is " All Too Human". It's not that I admire them, but rather that from Joseph and on down the line so many interesting complex stories. I must have twenty books on the Kennedy family. The one I admire is Jackie. I just found a book recently based on her clothes collection that toured in 2001. Through a barely tolerable marriage, the deaths of children, the assassinations of JFK and RFK. Raising John and Caroline out of the spotlight. She had guts that few first ladies managed. But yeah, if they made a Trivial Pursuit game on the Kennedy's I'd be just about unbeatable.
 

Say what you will about the Kennedy's. They had a desire to serve the country and were very charitable in so many areas.. Yeah.. lot's of flaws.. but they were perfectly human.
 
I couldn't be more tired of the Bushes. Unlike the Kennedy's and Clinton's they did not only no great and honorable deeds in office but many disservices. All of them have their skeletons but then who among us doesn't?
 
The Kennedy's only desire was for power and more power. Any good they did for the country was coincidental.
 
Actually, I adored the Kennedys. Politics don't influence my opinions as much as it apparently does some of you.
 
It's a sad truth that the Kennedys were addicted to booze, women and power. History proves that. Read the book.
 
I never "adored" the Kennedys...I concede they had tons of faults.. but they did a whole lot of good things to in their philanthropy and sponsored organizations.
 
Well, once again your personal life doesn't matter so long as your political stripe is right, or, in this case, left...
 
Bill was excused and it seems the whole Kennedy clan by the true believers on the left...
 
No one is excusing anyone of anything.... I happen to agree with their politics not their personal lives.... So I'm supposed to turn Republican because of Kennedy and Clinton's sexual indiscretions??
 
Perhaps it is time for a candidate who doesn't have so many skeletons, maybe Bernie or Biden, though I haven't looked in their closets...
