So many Great Comedians back then, who was your favorite?

For actual laugh-out-loud funny, my favorite was Eddie Murphy. I also really liked George Carlin, especially after he left Saturday Night Live, and Steven Wright. Woody Allen's stand-up routines made me laugh, but not so much his movies.
Oh yes, me and my ex, and my daughter know that first cassette stand-up Eddie Murphy did word-for word.

I knew the first time I listened, in less than a minute, it was gonna be special lol...

"people that get offended easily, y'all should just GTFO now..." Ah-hahahaa!

When I was a kid the 'Three Stooges' were my favorite. As I got older, I enjoyed Jerry Lewis most of all.
A few years ago, after doing some research I realized just how many shows the three stooges actually did, found out there was a complete set of all available, around $70. A good purchase, all these years and there were Many shows I'd never seen. A great way to unwind, to sit and watch some of those!

Red Skelton till I got older. Jackie Gleason was a trainwreck.
Carol Burnet as the woman. Bing and Bob in their "Out of" Movies.
"Singing in the Rain" Gene Kelly and cast was most amazing.

As a Child most likely Howdy Doody and cast. Saw a lot of 3 Stooges too.
Jerry Lewis seemed to go arrogant after the bust up with Martin. I liked those guys too.

I loved this show, and little did I know back then I would have 3 sons doing their own skit to the youngest one on this very theme.
Life is a circle in many ways

The Smothers Brothers
They did great shows, and were a riot. I played in the orchestra for their Summer Special-- must have been '70 or '71. Chad Stuart (of Chad & Jeremy) was the musical director. I didn't get the chance to meet Tommy, but I did meet Dick, who was a real nice guy. I tried to talk him into some financing for a rock opera we were working on, but he was too involved in auto racing.
