Learning How To Live Life

i am trying to get my city building game figured out. they recommend everything be in 1x1, 1x2 or 2x2 squares. i've had to use google to get more info on some of the stuff. i still haven't quite figured out the skyrail yet. there is zone upkeep costs and i'm trying to figure out how to balance that out so it's not as high. i'm managing to keep supply and demand pretty equal which is helping.

watching tv and relaxing.

Have you ever tried just putting only lemon juice in water?

When I was in the hospital, I had a nurse who said she did this because they couldn't do anything about her kidney stones that showed up after she was pregnant. She was just in the habit of doing this ever since.

I love lemon so I tried it & liked it. I get tired of plain water sometimes & this is a way to drink more water for me. I'm not a sugar-holic & I find most drinks that aren't made with cane sugar can be too sweet for my taste. I also don't like fake sugars & they don't like me, so they aren't an option.
there's nothing in this except citric acid, lemon oil and lemon juice that's all crystallized. no sweeteners of any kind. i don't buy fresh fruit because i can't afford it and most of the time the stuff isn't fresh or already going bad. i wouldn't get it used up fast enough then it would go bad. i can leave them sit on the shelf for when i want some. :)

i tried bottled lemon juice and didn't like that at all.

I do simialr here with my desk drawer which is a wide shallow drawer...I'll open it and put a tray on it if I need some more working space.

..be careful tho' making the bottom drawer a footstool with a pillow uunless you have a heavyweight bedside cabinet.,.. you don't want it tipping over on you if it's quite lightweight...

No.it is a giant heavy dresser.

the meds they have me on are working on my congestion and as more loosens it helps me breathe better but it also wears me out. i tried to sleep some more earlier but my cough kicked in so i had to deal with that. eating pizza right now. too pooped to cook so called it in.

starting to feel like a used car anymore. lol!
Eat a handfull or 2 of blueberries a day.

Most likely sort of dried in a bag, yummy, still have neutrients we have to have.
I gave up on fresh many years ago in the fruit area. Southern Grove is a brand we often have.
Bag says dried but still juicier than raisons. Yummy in all stuff is my thing.

/ think Canada is the great state they come from...LOL

i'm having a burger and salad here after a while for lunch. i bought this powder mix for water called true lemon. it's little packets. sugar free and says like fresh squeezed. i'm gonna try them and if i like them fine. if not there's a young lady at work i'm gonna give them to. lol!
I use that in my electrolyte water. I also add a couple packages to my keto meal replacement shake when I am having the lemon flavored one. Adds more lemony flavor.

it says to use it in moderation. now i know why. i was up using the bathroom all night. lol!

I started getting really sleepy around 9 last night. Dozed off watching tv. Woke up & slapped my cpap on and slept for 13 hrs! 😲 I hurt like hell this morning. Not looking forward to work but mama needs a paycheck. Oh well!

This year for our evaluations they're threatening our raises with our performance, attendance and attitude even more. So they say. I think they're just using it as an excuse not to give us our raises. And I hate to tell them this but we need to be able to eat and pay our bills too.

I'm just becoming very upset with the management in our workplace anymore. If I can manage til next summer, hopefully something will open up in the form of a desk job for me. Then I can transfer to that. I think I'd really enjoy being a night unit secretary but we'll see.

The weekend is coming. I can hardly wait. I will try to finish the bedroom and then I can just start cleaning without the decluttering around the house. It will make things easier.

I know that's is easier said than done at times, but hang in there & don't give up for the better position.

Like you, I was there once at work until I was able to transfer to another job. I had a good supervisor who told me, "Don't let the bastard get you down".

i'll give it a try. :ROFLMAO:
i try to just ignore all that crap anymore and just come in and do my job. i'm tired of worrying about it all the time. they suck and there's nothing i can do about that.

I think I'm gonna have salad here in a bit. I had a good day at work. Busy but good. I got some things done that needed doing. Still too many holds to get into a lot of the rooms to clean. :(

I find if I don't make plans to get things cleaned that are in serious need it works better. If I make plans then all kinds of crap happens that needs immediate attention like people bleeding in the lobby or tossing their cookies in the john. LOL!

Or as one nurse calls them a "sh*tastophy" in the bathrooms inside ER. Alex I'll take things that require shoe booties and clothespins for $400. 😁

Tonight we had a nasty drunk that got up and went out and railed at the staff and yelled at them to do their job. She was very insulting considering they were trying to keep her from dying. Earlier in the day a patient told one nurse he hoped he died and that he wanted to kill all of us. Sheesh! It's a wonder we have nurses and doctors to take care of us at all.

I try to be a good patient as best I can. Unless I think they're harming me then I get a little more vocal about wants and needs. I'm not gonna just sit there and let them kill me. LOL!

Last time the nurse told me I didn't need my oxygen because my O2 was at 93 but...whenever I got up to go to the bathroom it went down to 80 so I disagreed with her. Then she says you know we're not sending you home on oxygen well that's because I was already on oxygen at home plus I had my tank in my back pack. So when she left the room I stuck my tongue out at her. ;)

Morning!! Another hot day ahead at work. So far the Lume deoderant I bought is doing the job. Thank God! LOL! I hate summer!!

Already starting to see a slight uptick in Covid and other respiratory ailments in the ER. Back to wearing my mask.

I have laundry that needs doing this weekend and I'm sure I'll have a few needs from Walmart. I'll have to see what I'm low on. I doubt it will be much.

I nearly had a heart attack tonight at work. They won't let us use the bed bug spray anymore and on Friday night the Orkin guy couldn't come til Monday. So, two rooms sat infested for 3 days.

So this evening I'm on the toilet in one of the bathrooms and I'm unsure where it came from but, when I pulled up my scrub bottoms there was a live healthy one on my pants. I thought it was a piece of fuzz so I picked it off and tossed it on the floor. Then looked down and saw it wriggling. I stomped it and it exploded cuz it had fed recently.

I disposed of it and proceeded to freak out and strip down and check all the clothes on me. Nothing. I think what may have happened is one (probably several) escaped and was in the paper booties I put on. Needless to say I did not go for another pair. LOL!

I emailed the boss and asked her if they could have Orkin come in and do something to treat the entire unit because frankly nobody should have to worry about bed bugs in a d*mned hospital. I realize no hospital is above being infested with critters but this bed bug thing has been an ongoing issue. They need to take care of it.

I came home and checked around the house and furnishings and stuff just out of sheer paranoia. I hate those things! *As a side note I'm pretty sure I did not get bit. So it had been feeding on someone else. Eww!

I talked to a lady who worked in an office at a Orkin-type place. She said, due to the nature of the their job, all of the workers have a volcano bed bug trap that uses a bed bug attractant scent. All of them are afraid of something coming back to the office & then to their houses. She said she put hers in the bedrooms & living room.

It look's something like this. If you find one in it, it's a head up that you need sprayed before they get a foothold she said.

We had things like that in our apartments to see who had them. They will get on the bottom of your shoes and then get passed around to other locations and people that way. We almost always get them in our building when someone new moves in. Not every apartment has to be sprayed so they use that test trap to see if you have them. I was sprayed 6 times for them and only saw 2 in my whole apartment. Have not had them for a long time now since they used that fungus repellent.

@Lilac they're also $50 and so are the lures. That's a lot of money. I will look for something cheaper.

*update: for $15.99 at walmart i got 20 bed bug detector glue traps. i am happy with that. i can put one under each bed leg and a couple under the couch.

Groceries will be here soon. I guess my bank is switching out the credit cards too. I wouldn't mind but they don't tell us ahead of time far enough or why. Oh well.

I found Pocket City 2 and bought that last night for the phone. I started on it last night. We'll see how it goes. LOL! It's a little more involved than the other one.

From the looks of my leg and ankle I'm pretty sure that bed bug at work was in the bootie and fed on me. I have big red spotches on my leg that showed up yesterday. They itch and they hurt. I emailed the boss to let her know. I've decided if they don't do something about the bed bugs I'm going to turn it in to risk management myself if I have to.
