Learning How To Live Life

Make sure it doesn't get infected or something.
I've got stuff on it to keep from scratching at it. I've got calamine lotion on it right now plus I have cortizone cream.

I designed the little flag hanging next to the Resident Services building and the last one is a sittin area with two water falls.

These are really nice, @Fritz. :) I love your design work on her dress and the pavement. So cute! 🤗 ♥️

Where did you find that statue? I don't recognize it. Looks really pretty where you've placed it.

Did you tell me you've had multiple islands? Guess what? I just last night deleted my island!

It was actually my seventh island, (I used to have two Switches and two games), but deleting it was a big deal because I'd kept it for several months. I had accomplished all the goals and achievements, had all the bug and fish models, flattened and rebuilt (mostly)... and was starting to get bored so... new island!

I created a dream address for it, which I did not realize was a thing I could do until this island! I would have loved to have a DA for some of my others. Oh well, I have lots of pictures.

Now I'm excited to start a new island. :)

Good-bye, Pico Mundo.

Hello, Sarpedon!

@Medusa it's a fountain and I can't remember if it's from that last update or what. I think it was in the list of things you could get with miles but I don't remember right now.

I've never finished an island so this time I'm gonna give it my all. I play offline only now so I have no access to the online related stuff like the dreams and the kiosk inside the clothing shop. So I make my own stuff. I don't have a lot right now so I'll have to take it as it comes.

I have no plans to buy the Switch 2. I'm done spending hundreds of dollars that I no longer have on gaming. I miss it but it was getting far too expensive. I don't think any game needs to be $80. That's just price gouging and it's asinine.

For anyone who isn't aware of where bed bugs actually came from...it's not from dirty sheets...
Where bed bugs actually come from...

Diatomaceous earth helps kill them. Also when my apt. building was infested with them, I was the only one who didn't have them. I put bed bug covers on my entire bed and pillows. I also used these pest control plug ins with the sonar sound for like $20 each. The pest control things drove them away. The longer you leave them plugged in the better they work. I had one in every room. Still do except for the basement at the moment.

Oh, sure! I remember that statue now. My duh.

I'm not planning on the Switch 2 anytime soon, either. I don't need it as I'm perfectly happy to play AC on my current Switch. Maybe if they come out with a new AC and enough time has passed for the game console to move out of new release pricing. Right now, I'm happy where I am. :)

Would you believe I actually have a Facebook account for my Animal Crossing life? It's the only FB I have, and I have all of two friends on it. LOL My husband and a friend in Australia.

Have fun on your pretty island. :)

Diatomaceous earth is good for all sorts of critters.

I buy it in Lowe’s garden center, much cheaper that what is specifically advertised for roaches.

Thankfully, I’ve only seen two roaches in my apartment in fifteen years, I think they must have been hitchhikers that came in with a sack of groceries or something similar.

I was reading online that bed bugs can survive for 20 to 400 days without feeding. 400 days is like 13 months. One of the gals at work caught two bed bugs in a little pee sample jar and it was sealed tight so they couldn't go anywhere. They had babies and finally ate the babies and managed to survive for 6 months in that plastic jar. That's just crazy!

You still use that page?

I've used diatomaceous for a long time to keep unwanted bugs out. I put it on the sill plate inside the basement & it's worked well.

I like to by the food grade diatomaceous so if any of the cats manage to get into it, I don't have to worry about. It can even be put in food like grains to keep bugs infestations out or around your kitchen.

It's interesting. The emails I sent my boss about the bed bugs seem to be being ignored. Wouldn't surprise me. If they do end up ignoring me I might just turn the crap in myself. I'm sure the KDHE or OSHA would love to hear about it.

**update...when i showed her my bites she said..."are you sure that's what that's from?" duh! then she acted like i was lying and she didn't really act like she gave a crap. but the surveyors will if they find one. lol

sheesh..... that's obviously a terrible way for them to handle that situation!
For so many reasons, they should be thanking you for alerting them, and they should be taking swift actions to reduce and to remedy it. And those should always be regular protocols. Geez!

We've done so much for them. We've worked extremely short handed for years. We let them know when there's issues. Yet we get a 25 cent raise every year and constant threats of being written up for literally everything. If I can just hang on and not get canned until I can find a desk job I'll be ok. At least now I know why they never have any help.

It's sad because it's not really a bad job it's more of a management issue.

So I take melatonin for sleep issues and it's been making my apnea worse. Gonna cut them in half and see if it improves some.

So the internet went down last night so I got rid of Kingdom Rush and Witchy Workshop and put Paramount & Max on my phone so I could watch some tv before bed.

Also found a new game called Bowling Crew that's pretty fun.

good morning.
i'm currently waiting for pizza and groceries. I didn't need much from walmart today.

so the bowling game is a pay to play so i ended up dumping it. for $8 i got a campground game with no ads or in app purchases. i will start on that later.

i'm not planning to do much today. just kinda lingering. i'm very tired.

A 94 yr old woman was kept in a hot car for an hour at least 3 times in the past week I guess and she had suffered from hypothermia on this last trip. Her daughter has no one to care for her so she left her in a hot car and someone found her unresponsive and called 911. The daughter has been arrested.
