How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

Its been a sunny warm day here in Buffalo, temp around 80
On my early walk this morning at 6:50am it was 60 as I walked around the building one time
I didn't go to the weekly Fri 10am exercise class, instead since it was a beautiful morning decided to take a long walk instead. I walked 3 blocks back to Tudor PLaza{ where I use to live} looked at the beautiful garden in the back. I really miss sitting in that garden, along with seeing my friends on a daily basis. Here at Gates there are plants/flowers between the benches on the walkway that's about it
I continued on my walk came back about 25 min later After lunch& short nap, I was going to sit outside by the cafe back door, for a couple minutes, but there were too many bees around, came back inside

Today is on hold as I wait in the lobby at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto while Lia undergoes aphaeresis. But on my way to get a bite to eat I passed by this nice scultpure.

It says the artist lives and works in Montana and Hawaii and I recall seeing a similar sculpture on the grounds of the Honolulu Museum branch not located downtown which is apparently called Shangrila now. Fitting.

I've just got back.. and noticed the post I wrote at 9.30 this morning above.. I hadn't clicked send...so it looks like I'm posting straight after one another.

It's just after 2pm now... sunnier and warmer than it was earlier...

I've been to the supermarket...... it was heaving, I don't know why.. and the noise in there was something to be heard.. it was just so noisy, there was cages being rattled, the piped music was loud so no-one could her anyone asking for anything... I even commented to the cashier and she agreed..

..and I have a bee in my bonnet..what is wrong with people that they can't follow simple instruction in the car park?

In the store I was just at .. the lanes are one way.. so the first lane is left only, the next lane right only etc...

I was driving up one lane to get a space and 3 cars came down twards me ..IOW they'd turned left into a right lane only..., and there's no space for anyone to get past without possibly scratching another vehicle... and they didn't care..... but it means when you're pulling out of a space instead of looking just the one way for cars approaching, you literally have to have eyes in the back of your head as well sideways on a one way road... 😖

Anyway this was the fields on the way home...t'day..

The artist had some horses at the Rhode Island School of Design back in the late 70s. I remember her saying something like she got inspired by the tangle of branches in a creek. Since then I have become familiar with creeks and I understand.

I just thought, why are you picking up something that doesn't belong to you.. you're a stranger in my home.... I didn't give you permission to pick that up...

I know it probably sounds silly and petty, but it just irritates me people picking up my things without permission
It doesn't sound petty to me. I am sure some of the things that I find irritating would make other people think I was being silly.

That, however, would not bother me at all. I would probably wipe off what they touched, especially if they were a nurse and did not wash their hands for at least 20 seconds before and after tending to me.

If someone took it upon themselves to throw away a small bit of plastic junk, that would render me incapable of speech, since it was the thing that covers the seat belt so my dog could not unbuckle it on purpose. I also don't like my spices being un-alphabetized, and I don't give a s**t if other people think it is OCD, because it's not.

Usually, I'm pretty laid back with visitors. My mother hated that except for when she was the visitor.

I don't mind visitors to my home touching or commenting..if I know them, but these nurses are strangers to me , in my home.... over 6 weeks I've had 14 different nurses in my home, never the same one twice.. they've been all different nationalities... I don't know who these people are... and they're only here for 15 minutes max... so I do find it annoying when they touch my things and comment on them

Daughter made it to Angers, France, alive and well. We can text one another! I last heard from her at midnight, her time. She is 6 hours ahead of us. I stayed up all night long so I could keep in touch with her from time to time. In the evening in France, she had dinner -- an American-style burger. I would have had a few eclairs.
that's got your mind at rest now... France who are our next door neighbours are one hour ahead of us... so it's 2.43 am there now...

She knew a professor in the textile program there whose name escapes me now. They traveled to china with large group of textile people back before China had opened up much to Westerners.

Wow, that's enough math to blow my mind! So you are 5 hours ahead of us, while France is 6 hours. Do you guys have daylight savings time? If so, does it begin when ours does? Geez Louise.
yes we have DST but it doesn't start the same time as you, if I remember correctly I think your DST starts about 2 weeks before us in March.. and yours ends 2 weeks after ours in November (ours ends in October )

Goodness gracious! Another opportunity for me to screw up. I am good at math (hence I was an accountant), but not good at time zones. My brain zoned out when my daughter informed me last night that it was Friday where she was, but still Thursday here at home.

I understand that intellectually, believe me. But if we were in a picture of days, that we could be talking (texting) with me standing on one day, and her standing on another, just blows my mind. This is even if I tell myself that we are talking at the same time just on two different days because someone said so!

Do I make myself clear? Or do I seem confused?

Good morning, where's the sunshine? Much to do today, we are having a cooked breakfast at Lore of the Sky. Perched within the historic Compton Abbas Airfield, Lore of the Sky is a bold new smokehouse restaurant, sounds interesting.
There's going to be quite a crowd gathered there, vintage attire is encouraged, I will bring you some photos back. I have a few essentials to pack, like our fold-up chairs, now where did I put that list?

Monday is a public holiday in the UK and all being well, you will find us at The Verwood Rustic Fair. It's more of a family fun day than vintage, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun, even though we will probably just be a couple of spectators. One of the organisors knows of our MG, and as they are having a classic car display we have been asked to bring our car along. As yet we haven't thought about what to wear, I'll keep you posted. Right now there's much to do.
