As I age, I started trouble sleeping.
My Dr. rx'ed Xanax 0.25 mg.
Anyone has Xanax for sleep?
Thanks,

Thanks,
Thatās the truth. They get monitored for how much they prescribe. For that reason, many turn to street dealers. The several doctors that I do see now, become all nervous when the subject of "benzos"
comes up... they seem to break out rash and get all itchy and then lecture me on all the
evils of such meds.
My doctor gave me a prescription of it to use to try to sleep on long plane flights. He said take one, the people of Reddit said take two. I tried Xanax+benedryl+ibuprofen+melatonin and it was a little tiny bit helpful on one flight, but not enough to overcome the discomfort of economy seat on another flight.Anyone has Xanax for sleep?
I have, when I had a Xanax prescription. You can't take Xanax on a long term basis. Plus, doctors are not *supposed to* give out open ended prescriptions of Xanax. As I age, I started trouble sleeping.

I have clonazepam prescribed for the same reason. I have cPTSD. Most doctors are very careful not to prescribe them unless really necessary. All benzodiazepines are highly addictive. There are other prescriptions better suited as a sleeping aid. Maybe you are getting treated for high anxiety AND sleep deprivation. You donāt really give us a lot of info into why you ended up with this prescriptionI have a prescription for 0.25 mg. Clonazepam, in the same drug class as Xanax, but it wasn't prescribed for sleep. Some doctors may prescribe it for that reason, but FDA-approved uses are for treating anxiety, panic disorder and seizures.
My RX label on a bottle of 30 says take 2 times daily "as needed" for anxiety," but the doctor doesn't want me taking it every day, and probably would discontinue refilling if a bottle of 30 was used up within 15 days.
But yes, on days when I do take it, I sleep better at night.
