At last night's dance I must have bored everyone when I collected my new shoes, but one couple, who have always loved our old MG, had something much more interesting than a pair of two tone shoes. It's been a labour of love but the fellow, and a few experts, have finally got his Jaguar restored. We went to a riverside cafe in it this afternoon, afternoon tea and cake, most civilised.

This is the model but not their car. They have asked for it not to be put online. The ladies squeezed into the two small back seats. Those seats are okay for children but two ladies, both joking about their weight, it was tight, but what a fun afternon.

I don't know what it is HC..but I hate that model of Jaguar...always have, cannot stand it.... it's like there's something about it maybe locked in my memory from my childhood....when they were used by the Police

Gr-son in college called and we got caught up. Told him I saw the picture of him and his new GF and she is soooo cute!
He laughs and says "Oh I know it" I asked him if she was making doe eyes at him yet and he laughed again
"Ohhh Nonnie, allllll the time!"
This may be a keeper he tends to run when the doe eyes come out :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Asked him if he's behaving and hitting those books, answers "Yes Mam, I have to or dad will be up here with his
handcuffs and drag my butt back home"
I love his happy voice and laughter, he is truly a blessing. Made my day.

Love the nails, @hollydolly!

Yesterday was an eventful day, but I fell asleep before I could post about it. I did laundry and actually put away all of it (which is unusual). I also found out my great-grand dog passed away. More about that here:
My Great-Grand Dog Crossed The Rainbow Bridge Yesterday

This morning, just before 2:00 a.m., I scooped the litter box and got the garbage ready for my son to take out before leaving for work. I was napping on and off throughout the day. This evening I finally took time to do my nails while I was on the phone. I also made homemade mango sorbet, which I will be having soon.

The house is quieter today now that our daughter is safely back home. I must do a 'stock take' on the freezers and see what we need to replenish. I also have to get back to making meals for one less person. Our Elder daughter is one of these people who is tall and thin, but who could eat for Britain and not gain a ounce of weight. There is no justice some times.
