Have you ever seen or watched DNA being extracted from blood or any object, including human tissue using any method?
I have. It’s amazing to watch technicians as they proceed through the process.

We did DNA purifications at one point. I remember having to spray the work area with DNAase solution so extraneous DNA wouldn't contaminate the samples.

you've been retired 15 years... are you glad you retired when you did ?
Oh, a definite yes. I was close to burnout after 38 years, and at that time, the state was offering it's older employees what they termed "early retirement incentive". I opted for that and never regretted it. The incentive was that they averaged the highest salary of 3 years of employment, then we got 80% of that. After I stared receiving SSI, I was making more than when I was working.

Oops.. I did have some regrets - I had to leave my avocado tree because I couldn't fit it in my car. It did so well in a courtyard window, it brushed the ceiling there. Some people promised they would care for it - but you know how that often goes. Also I lost access to a computer printer.
