If you watch tv, are there any shows you waiting to see? I guess football and other sports can be included 😇

I am anxiously awaiting for the “Tracker” series and the “High Potential “ series.

I think the Donnie Wahlburg’s Blue Bloods spinoff called “Boston Blue” is scheduled to air on CBS in October. If so I will watch at least the first episode.

Death In Paradise is on my PBS station, but i‘s hit or miss. I set it to record. it’s one of those programs I watch when they’re just absolutely nothing else on TV and I have Dish🤯🤯

I would love to cut my Dish bill back, but don’t you know the programs I do like to watch are the ones that are on the more expensive package💩💩

I have some interest in Pluribus. I'm curious to see what Vince Gilligan can do outside of the Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul universe. Rhea Seehorn stars in it so that is a plus for me. Not much is known about the show except that it is a sci-fi series with the tagline "The most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness" .

Looks like it'll be back in Albuquerque for the setting. It'll be a tall order to follow "Better Call Saul" with something remotely as interesting. But I'll be watching for sure.

The Voice will be back September 22. I don't like it as much as I used to anymore. I like the first shows of blind auditions and then I wait to see the finale. Crazy me🤣

TV, like as on cable, satellite or over-the-air(not available here) holds no interest for me, in the "Prime Time" market. DW has been watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune since the 70s, so that takes up most of the evening. We were warming up to the reboot of Dallas, but that was cancelled. We tune into Forensic Files at 8pm, then off to bed promptly at 8:40pm.

New season of Landman is scheduled for late 2025 or early 2026. I think he has like 5 series he's working on at once. Maybe less now. I don't know.

I'm looking forward to Landman, School Spirits, Tulsa King, Mobland, maybe more of Elsbeth?

I never did like the lead actor in Tracker, so won't watch the show. However, like you, I am looking forward to the S2 premiere of High Potential and the debut of Boston Blue, since "Danny" was my favorite character in Blue Bloods. I'm also looking forward to the final season of Stranger Things (Netflix). I'm waiting with baited breath for my favorite show...Will Trent (ABC/Hulu) and From (MGM). Those and The Rookie (ABC/Hulu) will not return until 2026. 😒

@Fritz I have a couple of good online friends who said Landman is really good, but I haven't checked it out yet.

I’m looking forward to another season of Matlock.

I’m curious about the Blue Blood spin-off and will tune in.

I will also watch an episode of the comedy about the Department of Motor Vehicles, I can’t believe that they will be able to squeeze out enough material to make a series.

I was sad to see that Jessie L. Martin’s show The Irrational was canceled.

Parish was another one season wonder that I really enjoyed.

Overall Landman is a high quality series, with the exception of my exasperation concerning Tommy Norris' (Billy Bob Thornton) over-the-top narcissist ex wife and idiot daughter. Demi Moore is effective as the boss's wife.

In the main, the scenes with the aforementioned two gals in them were very weak and off-pitting, whereas the scenes with BBT and the other cast members were very well done. Throughout, BBT gives award winning performances. Between him and the basic story design, Landman is an exceptional series.

It was also refreshing to hear the dialogue explaining the necessity of oil with its myriad products, and refuting the ubiquitous green mentality.

There was a slightly artistic ending to the first season, but that will segue nicely into season 2, which will be coming up this Fall. Looking forward to it.

BTW, the expression bated breath means excited and anxious. I suppose a fresh caught fish could have baited breath...;)

Well, based on what I previously heard about the show, then your critique, I put on it my watchlist. I started watching it yesterday and decided it is not for me. Within 3 minutes and 29 seconds, I must've heard the F bomb (or its derivative) 10 or more times! So I can imagine how many more times I would have heard that word if I continued. That kind of writing IMO shows a lack of imagination and creativity and annoys the hell outta me.

LOL re your "baited breath" joke & correction. 😂 Ya know..I thought I was spelling it wrong! 🤔

Well you know, I forgot about the language in Landman. You're absolutely right.
I think writers are still under the sad illusion that gutter language is "hip" and "edgy".

Still, I'm such a big BBT fan that I try to overlook the language, along with his ex wife and daughter...:cautious:

I have to admit there were two shows in which I overlooked the language because I loved their premises and the actors were so very compelling to watch. They were The Man Who Fell To Earth starring Chiwetel Ejiofor and From starring Harold Perrineau, who I first saw in Lost. I told my friend who recommended Man...that perhaps I'd mute it and just read the subtitles, which often xxx out the foul words. I noticed that From toned down the language a bit in season 3.

One of my friends who loves Landman also loves it in part because she loves BBT.
