Sports fans behaving badly stealing, forcing their way to get souvenirs in the stands

Here’s the rule: the ball (or hat) always goes to the kid. Always. Phillie Karen has been excoriated on social media, so Karma’s a b***h.
So why didn't the kid go get the ball that was 15 feet away and almost if not, in 67 year old woman's hands? If several folks are trying to catch a ball and an adult catches it while a kid is jumping up trying to get it, then the ball should go to the kid, that is courtesy.

Also there was a man in a blue shirt that was also reaching for the ball, the 67 year old lady was bent over and eye witnesses says she had her finger tips on it, and then this HERO dad that saw it land, walks over and takes it. How did anyone take it from the kid? When the 67 year old lady went over and confronted the dad, the dad gave it to her, knowing he was wrong. The dad was the one that took the ball back from his son.

This 67 year old lady didn't SNATCH the ball from a kids hands, that is a lie and meant to cause internet sensation. I don't side with thieves and that is what this dad is. A real dad would have helped the old lady, 67, a senior citizen, by giving her the ball. I suspect the guy in blue was trying to help her get it.

Hopefully the kid has a decent sound minded honest mother that will counteract his dads, don't earn it or ask for it, son, steal it even if you have to take it from an old lady.

So the kid gets a signed bat from the hitter of the home run, and father and son get on shows to tell their tale of a mean old lady taking a ball from a kid on his birthday and they are made victims by the media. Where is the compassion for the 67 year old lady that was lucky enough to have a home run ball land nearest her? I can understand her anger and impatience with spoiled entitled people like the dad that thought he could just go get it, even thought 3 other people were closer and reaching for it. Once again a break down in respect and common sense.

He doesn’t take it from her hands. He picked it up from the seat where it landed. She’s an entitled idiot. if you take the ball away from a kid, you’re selfish as well. Your video is AI generated. That simply did not happen that way. He never touched her.
Why would it be AI generated when the voice over is entirely against the woman and saying. "This is why we hate Karen?'

Were you there, Carol?

Slow motion on several videos show the 67 year old lady had first possession of the ball by common sense and courtesy rules. No AI involved. Here is full video that shows she is closest to the ball that is on the floor. Super dad is furthest and runs up to get it. What a smuck! You can stop this video and still see that the 67 year old lady was closest. Dad moves fastest and then holds up the ball as to say look at me, I got it!

Look at 2 seconds in, 5 people are reaching and the lady is the closest. Suddenly the super dad quickly drives in his arm and gets the ball. How could anyone find this good manners? He was determine to get the ball for his son, whatever it took.

I've been watching some of the videos about her, all saying that she "snatched the ball from a little kid," while she clearly did no such thing, but only took it when the father handed it back to her. It's frightening to me the way people can ignore what they can plainly see when they want to hate someone. They all make awful comments about her looks, her hair and her glasses. Sadly, I think lots of people just don't like older women.

You have it right! Especially older women that stand up for their rights and what is fair. This dad reminds me of a hyena rushing in to steal the kill of another animal. I used to just let minor injustices slide. As I age, I will speak up about some young punk cutting in line or entitled people pushing their way around because they can. I think this lady did right thing standing up for what was right, and should sue all the news media that put out false stories about her.

The fact that the video says "This is why we hate Karen" clearly makes it AI and the young guy never slammed the woman's head against the seat. This never happened. Please explain to me why you believe an AI fake.

Sorry, I realized later that it was fake, but not the first time I watched it. I can't explain why. I guess I'm just not used to videos being fake yet.
I still don't understand why the man saying "this is why we hate Karen," indicates that it's fake?

I can't determine who made contact with the ball first—none of the available footage offers a reliable answer. Each clip is grainy, filmed through telephoto lenses that warp depth and compress perspective. From what I can see, the ball seems to have landed on or near the floor behind the seats. Realistically, only three individuals likely know what truly transpired: the woman, the man who ended up with the ball, and the guy in the blue shirt.
What strikes me as more unsettling, though, is the attention this trivial episode receives—overshadowing, another school shooting. The contrast is jarring, and frankly, a little grotesque.

As I've aged I've found that younger people around me are more respectful. Do you live in a horrible place or is it your vibe?
Well I guess if you refuse to join the irate populace this is what you get. Someone saying your "vibe' must be so awful it causes young people to cut in line.

Look, I don't think what the woman did was a good thing I know I would never do it but then the whole sports fan thing is mysterious to me. We used to take our son to the games every summer, including on his birthday. He always took his glove hoping to catch a foul ball. He never did. I saw others scramble for the balls and never saw anyone turn around and give it to the nearest child. It went to whoever touched it first. This little boy was not entitled to that ball any more than any other child in the stands.

I agree that both adults were out of line, but neither of them deserves to be hated by the masses, afraid to leave the house, hounded by the press. Maybe we should save that for the sex-traffickers and murderers.
