Morning "news"? I'd rather watch paint dry.
We discontinued cable tv ten years ago. Even before that, I rarely watched the morning talking heads programs.

NEP-16 was mine, too... but that's back when I still watched anything. Cut the cord more than a decade ago and haven't missed it for a single moment. I do get to wondering about people sometimes, though.... Tom and Noreen... Frank.

I had been listening to network news when having breakfast, and in the evenings. It was causing me a lot of unnecessary stress so I'm done with it. I found this site from NPR that has text only news. No ads or popups, and just click on the stories I want to read - when I want to read them, not when eating or trying to start or end my day.
