Starting to see where high protein diets might contribute to cancer growth.
Knew a person with mobility issues wound up eating protein bars, drinks, foods in their final year unable to get to a store or get regular help/food store runs for them. They wound up with stage 4 colon cancer before detection People that did errands for them would frequently bring health/high protien food and snacks being they couldn't shop.
Until injured which was about 2 years prior to them passing they were medically up to date including colonoscopies. And ate alot more cooked and regular food. Not so much after a hospitalization. They still had visits or contact with the medical community though.
I'm seeing other people do the samething during periods of immobility. Know one in hospital/nursing home refusing to eat the regular food that is served so people are bringing them the same thing. High protien snacks/foods. They've lost upwards of 50 lbs since injury. Surprised a medical professional hasn't called them out on their eating habits. Regardless their diet is mostly concentrated/processed protien.
Could too much or concentrated/processed protein lead to or grow existing cancers?
