Very good film. In terms of impact, in my case I was more impressed in 1951 when I saw the original, The Thing From Another World than I was with this 1982 picture. Naturally the special effects were better in the '82 version, and they added a few things from the book.

I think I saw the prequel to the '82 movie, also The Thing, but I don't remember much about it. Maybe that tells me something...;)
