Enjoyed walking Mac this morning.
Lovely blue skies with few white clouds.

Thought we were going to get groceries.
Guess I was too late getting ready by hubby's method.
AS I came downstairs,, he took off on his ATV.

His backhoe is still where he parks it,, he may be cutting up some wood he has down.

O, well I'm in no hurry to go any where.

Enjoy your weekend, folks.

Happy Saturday, September 20th!

Seems like the SF gang is chugging along pretty well.

Not much to report from me. Another delightful day yesterday with my BFF. She and DH have become great friends over the years so hanging out together is so easy. I feel for people whose spouses and friends don't particularly care for one another.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning fellow grayheads!! I'm here but not all there~!! This
has been a day of glitches, fumblefingers, and unsteadiness, it

Woke up to neigbhors radio on some militant sounding program...any hoo will prob just lurk today...love you all and take care....:love::cool:😂

Typically the deer (mule deer) vacate areas near rutting elk, but 2 does and 4 fawns walked up from the s. At the same time about a dozen elk headed s but e of the deer. I would have plugged one of those fawns if given the chance.

Warm and breezy today, not ideal. This was my 15th hunt of the season. 9 more days till it closes and I can hunt 7 of those days. These are the rough days when you question passing up elk earlier.

I’m still in the tree; getting down soon.

Today Saturday 9/20/2025, has been slow to arrive this week after coming down with COVID-19 on 9/9. By 9/15 was essentially well and able to do more than just lie around coping, so have been productive since. The last 3 days have been straightening out backups for my desktop and 4 large external hard drives. My digital camera files I've been accumulating since 11 years ago contain about 140,000 image files within 850 folders. Some files go back decades that have been piece meal saved over years transferring from old media like floppy disks and magnetic tape, then CDs, to newer USB external drives. I've been working towards having at least 2 backup media sources. Nothing is cloud based. Most of the work is now complete, however I have considerable more organization to do restructuring files onto my newer 2 larger drives.

Fixing errors between two hard drives that are intended to have the same files but are structured differently is difficult. Besides much File Explorer use, have been running Command-Prompt command line commands and Excel for much of that work.

This afternoon will be much fun attending an outdoor street art/food/music fair at a city just a few miles away. Three rock/pop cover bands are queued up for each of both today and tomorrow.

I fell asleep before I could post about yesterday. It was a long, tiring, wonderful day! My son, Honorary Son #3 (HS#3) and I had lunch with my BFF who’s up here from Florida. It was the first time HS#3 and BFF met (though they've talked on the phone) and they hit it off right away. The discussion was lively and ranged from mostly new and old methods of music composition and production to sexual health and mores. I can’t believe my BFF invited herself to HS#3’s studio so she could see how he composes and produces digitally. We are delighted and love that she is loving his tracks, one of which is named after her. That will be an interesting, fun time.

We were having such a good time that we all hated to leave, but BFF had a rehearsal for the show she’s music director and playing for next week (the reason she’s up here). HS#3 had to wrap up preparations for his broadcast and my son and I had lots of shopping to do. As we were leaving, my son's old classmate- friend was coming in with his wife. He's a minister now (Rev. C). They were so happy to see each other. My son had taken photos of the four of us, then took a picture with them too. The last picture is from when son and Rev. C won a trophy for their music while they were in high school.

Afterward, we headed to Costco so I could give the optical department my new prescription. I’m using the same frames I'm wearing in the photos. We received a $41 certificate due to our executive membership; that came in handy. We got most of what I wanted and will get the rest when I pick up my glasses in about 10 days.

Then it was on to Shoprite. The timing was perfect because I was almost out of cheese blintzes and whipped cream. I also caught a sale on Haagen Daz (rum raisin) that I’ve been “feenin” for lately. And would you believe that my son ran into Rev. C and his wife again at Shoprite! What’s the chances of that happening?! In the evening, I went to HS#3's studio for the broadcast.

Seeing such happiness on the faces of the people I love so much, having a good lunch with great conversation, getting my shopping therapy on and getting $33 off my groceries, considering the certificate (which I split with my son) and sales savings, having my favorite ice cream in the house…well, it doesn’t get much better than that. 😍

Good morning to everyone. It is sunny outside and another nice day ahead. I am washing clothes and found some pants from at least 5 years ago that still fit. Now, I won't have to buy more.

I will be going out today to buy something as husband always wants something to eat we do not have. Oh well, it cuts down the grocery bill.

Have a good and happy day today, everyone. :)

Harry Potter? I thought those were all ancient history. In the late 1990s my wife had to read the books because all of her 5th grade students were reading them. I then had to read them so she could discuss them with me. Are they doing remakes of the movies or what?
Nope, apparently not ancient history..lol... filming going on as we speak. I live just a few miles in the same county ..from the HP studios... one of the Main cast members was my father's neighbour .. and lived here in our market town until relatively recently

Inidentally I have never read an HP book nor seen any films... .. not my cuppa tea....

I have not read the books. I've seen a couple of the movies. I'd like to read the books though.

@hollydolly, I'm glad to hear this because I seriously thought I was the only person in the world who hadn't read the books or seen the films.

Today I must be more productive than I was yesterday, when I was very lazy and didn't get any work done. That was nice, but I need to be sure to stay on top of my workload because Tuesday evening my younger daughter and I are going to the movies. We usually get a meal. We're meeting at the theater a little early so we can chat first. I can't wait!

Some of you may recall that she and I had a(nother) pretty serious falling out about a month ago that was completely my fault. I'm so relieved that the relationship has been repaired (well, perhaps not fully repaired—I think I hurt her quite badly), but it is "back up and running" again. And I'm determined to not mess that up again.

So, I'll be at my desk most of the day but will be sure to get outdoors at some point. ☀️

I can't tell you how many times I've put a movie aside of HP to watch..thinking I really ought to make the effort... but I just end up deleting them unwatched...
I read the Harry Potter series due to the insistence of my daughter, who probably started reading them in her early twenties. She loved/loves HP. I slogged through the books, but wouldn't say I particularly enjoyed them. Never watched any of the movies.

the fact that I live near the HP studios.. and have one the major character living right here until recently.. ( grew up here).. usually astonishes people when I tell them I have no interest in the films or books... but it's just not my cuppa tea... might be different if I was 20... but aside from visiting Plaform 9 where the Hogart express departs at London Kings Cross station... ( and I only visited because I was at the station on a normal day travelling in and out of the city)... I have never had any interest in HP
