Are there any MST3K fans here? Who was your favorite host? Favorite experiment?

I stumbled across Mystery Science Theater 3000 in the late nineties. Mike Nelson was my favorite host with my favorite experiment being "Space Mutiny". I supported the new seasons and my niece surprised me with tickets to the live show at the Palace Theater in Cleveland. I was saddened when the plans for Season 14 fell through.

Ive also supported Riff Trax and live simulcasts in local theaters with Mike, Bill, and Kevin.

So who was your favorite host and favorite experiment?

I would watch it in a kind of on-and-off fashion... still do.
I think that I liked Joel the best, but all of them worked well... Mike was great, too.

I'm not sure about which experiment skit(s) I liked best... it was their running commentaries
throughout the movies that always have me in stictches!

Never heard of it. Was it a TV show, radio?

It was a TV show. Low budget, but a very creative idea. I got into it for a short while, but my interest faded. There's a thin overall plot about an astronaut and three robots stuck in space. For some reason they have access to every science fiction movie made before 1955, which they watch. The show is about them making wise cracks during the showings. Really, they just make fun of the movies, even during the credits. Really! That's the show. Ordinarily, you would disapprove of this behavior at a real movie, but they're good at it. The show includes the entire film credits to the end, and are interrupted once in a while while they include awkward attempts at comedy, but that is not their strength.
