I would pick the 60's followed by the 50's. I thought the 1950's music was the best, until the British Invasion took place.
I think the 50's had the most romantic songs. I relate more with the 60's because those were my teen years. They bring back a lot of memories.
I guess I'm a romanticist at heart, but of all the singers out there, Johnny Mathis sang the best romantic songs with his soothing style.
I totally agree with you. They lost me when disco came along, then rap, then punk rock, head banger music etc. etc...If I got stuck listening to just one decade of music, it would have to be the sixties.
The seventies are close behind, but it was not as original as the decade before.
After the eighties there is almost nothing I will listen too, I guess I'm missing out
