Daughter has just bought a house.

After many years living in an apartment, our elder daughter has just bought a house. Nothing too fancy, a pre-war 3 bedroom semi with a small back garden.
This means that mum and dad will probably be busy for a while helping her move and getting everything sorted out.
By coincidence, one bedroom has the same wallpaper as her room here.

I remember when my daughter bought her first house. It was a brand new build... beautiful place. She was 23 years old... she stayed for a year , flipped it and bought another bigger one.. added large conservatory to the next one, and sold for a 1/3rd more than she paid... next one, another nice house only about 10 years old.. she stripped it all. kitchen bathrooms.. got all new underfloor heating in all new fitments and fittings everywhere, ...3 years later..sold it.. bought her place in Spain... 14 years later when she returned to England... 3 years ago... she bought a bungalow.. stripped it.. had all new flooring.. extended the kitchen by 12 feet, had the attic boarded out and lighting fitted...... .. underfloor heating in the bathrooms... all heated towel rails..etc.. ... all new windows..

She had every intention of staying in this one.. but, she might now have to move for her job....

After graduating, our daughter had a number of jobs in education and moved to different areas of the country. Now that she's been in her present job for some time and got her professorship, she thinks it's a good time to stop - maybe.

No, she is based in the English Midlands, some 360 miles south of where I live.
