They call you "The Retirees".
You were born in the 50-60’s.
You grew up in the 60-70's.
You studied in the 70-80's.
You were dating in the 70-80s.
You got married and discovered the world in the 70s-80.
You ventured into the 80-90’s.

You stabilized in the 2000’s.
You got wiser in the 2010’s.
Now, you are going firmly through and beyond 2025.
Turns out you've lived through EIGHT different decades...
TWO different centuries...
TWO different millennia...

You have gone from the telephone with an operator for long–distance calls to video calls to anywhere in the world.
You have gone from slides to YouTube, from vinyl records to online music, from handwritten letters to email and Whats App.
From listening to live sport matches on the radio, to black and white TV, then color TV and then to 3D HD TV.
You went to the Video store and now you watch Netflix, Hulu, Disney, Apple, Fubo, etc.
You got the first personal computers, punch cards, floppy disks and now we have megabytes or gigabytes on our smartphones.
You wore shorts throughout your childhood and then long trousers, Keds, miniskirts, bellbottoms & blue jeans.
You dodged infantile paralysis, meningitis, polio, tuberculosis, swine flu and then COVID-19.

You rode skates, bicycles, Harleys, Muscle cars.
What a life you've had.
Some could describe you as "exennial," (people who were born in that world of the fifties), who had an analog childhood and a digital adulthood.
You've kind of Seen It All.
Your generation has literally lived through and witnessed more than any other in every dimension of life.

So, to all the the members of this very special generation... wear it proudly.

You are so right! Our time travel into the future has been perfectly timed!

At our ages, we have more wisdom than we care to use. We Know, at this point that we are not going to change the world. Haven't got the energy anyhow. If we did then it would be a hell of a battle. We know......we understand the intricacies of life. People tend to think that older people are not capable of challenging the wrongs of this world.
We simply understand the complexities, the devotion and the energy required to. make changes. Youth and energy does not provide wisdom and understanding. If I had my knowledge of how things work and was younger and had more energy watch out! We, older individuals, don't accept or agree with what is going on. We simply cannot fight the battles. Could we win the battles.......oh yes.

The ironic thing is that justice, these days, is about who has more money. Think about it. It's not about right or wrong. It's not about the blind eye of justice. It's about who has more money to spend to get what they want. Two sides can argue about the rights and the wrongs of any particular action or event.

One side will justify, the other with disagree. Various facts, generally background about one or another will emerge and then the jury will decide who is right. Based on what??????????? I need to stop. My mind is going crazy right now and it means very little to most of you. Is there Justice? yes , but it is not simple. This is a great country. Don't forget it and don't take it for granted.

You are right in that we can't do it alone. But understand there is strength in numbers. That is why I throw in my ten dollars occasionally and pray that others will do the same.
