How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

It's 5.40pm here, and because it's overcast it's quite dark here in the office room... the sun sets at 6pm....

After I;d had my physiotherapy today I drove over to the next town.. where they have a frozen food store.. and a big hardware store next to each other... and I needed to buy 2 big deep storage boxes with lids.. and I needed to get some frozen roast potato chips.. from the other shop... no other town near here has these 2 shops almost next door to each other, so that was very handy.

After I'd got them.. I went and had a KFC for lunch in the restaurant sitting down... nice to just watch the world go by for 1/2 an hour... , and I do like KFC occasionally.. and this was very nice..

The best KFC I ever tasted outside of the UK was actually in Spain.. at the KFC which is next door to the Casino...

Driving back I noticed that all the trees have changed colour now.... and qute a lot have shed their leaves already

I had no actual plans for today, and ended up going to town. I had to good workout at the gym, and managed to burn off some of the built up stress in my life. So I felt good about that.

We also went to the library, where I made huge progress on my picture scanning project! That made me feel good, too!

Tomorrow is a rain day (no skating!), then the warm days will start being cooler....fall weather arrives on Sunday.

I don't mean to brag, but all of my Christmas shopping is done. I might even start wrapping today or tomorrow!! 🎄🎁

It's almost 6am.. it's still dark...it wont be light until 7.30am...

I'm thinking I might take my car to be washed today.... the grass verge mowers got wet grass all up the side of it, and it's stuck, even trying to brush it off isn't working.. ..the only drawback is that the nearest jet wash is a 30 mile round trip.. so..I'll have to see how I feel...

Kinda restless nite, again, I hate having these bad hallucinations
at nite, noise from tinnitus, the songs I keep hearing in my head, enuff to drive a person to old age, oh...wait...I am old!!!!:cool:
 
Good morning all. The shoes I ordered yesterday, fit. It is a relief to get something that feels good on my feet. They are like a sneaker but have a wide toe area and are cushioned on the inside.

It is 58 degrees outside but will be in the low 80's today. It gets cold here at 50 and we are so used to warm weather that we are cold.

Maybe I'll try to do a little more housekeeping in the garden today. Heaven knows there's plenty of it to do. It's supposed to rain tomorrow (dare we hope?) so I'd like to get the mess under the azaleas cleaned up and put down fertilizer and pine straw so they'll be pretty in the spring.

I'm gonna be home alone until later this afternoon. DD and DGD have already left to go to the No Kings protest, and it's not over until around 1, then at least two hours to get home because of the crowds.
 
Morning all, when I first got up at 5am, looked out window it was lightly raining, went back to sleep woke up again at 7. On my early walk at 7:15, temp was 58 with a bit breezy as I went around building before breakfast
My plan this morning walk over to local independent book store' Talking Leaves'{ am a member} looking to buy new David Mc Cullough book'History Matters',essays he wrote over the yrs,edited by his daughter,Dorrie. He was my #1 favorite historian read most of his books, sadly he died 2 yrs ago
The rest of my day watch afternoon college football game, having dinner in dining room tonight at 5:45. Connie won;t be with us, instead my neighbor ,Bill will be joining us

After much post processing images from my Thursday returned long fall leaf road trip, now 10:30am PDT Saturday 10/18/2025 will be at an outdoor street fair Oktoberfest in 45 minutes.

From 10am Wednesday, quaking aspen grove in fall leaf color, after the storm passed below Conway Summit near 8k feet. The magenta dots are where I hiked down 150 feet in shin to thigh deep new snow covering hollow sagebrush, then worked subjects. Peak at center is 12.3k feet.

Ours was this afternoon. I just got back from it. We had a nice turnout considering the part of the country we are in. And quit a few people honked their horns in approval as they rode by. It was supposed to be Halloween themed and quite a few people came in costumes. There was this one cute little 30 something chick in a sexy witch costume with black fishnets. OMG did I feel like a dirty old man. There is something about a chick in a sexy witch costume that will just drive a dude out of his mind. I just had to get away before I made a fool out of myself leering at her.

It also was getting a bit boring standing on the sidewalk holding a sign so I gave that up after 1/2 an hour and got on my motorcycle and rode back and forth honking my horn in approval. The crowd seemed to like it so I think that will be my plan for future protests.
