Good morning everyone. Today we are supposed to have rain. It has been dry here for quite some time.

Yesterday, we went out for lunch and filled the car with gas. The gas price was $2.84 a gallon which is low for here. It was a nice surprise.

Not sure what we will do today but hopefully relax and watch a movie on DVD.

Have a good day today everyone. :)

Morning all, on my early walk at 6:50 temp was 70 with a slight breeze as I walked around the building twice before breakfast. I'm a bit stiff today due to the fact the temps outside seem to change each day,Fri was in mid 50's yesterday was 75 .I have arthritis in both knees, but it doesn't; stop me for going on my walks.I did find the David McCullough book I mention in my previous post, along with 2 others, added to the pile I hope to read by end of the yr
The rest of my day watch church service online, read local paper, talk to my brother after lunch
Everybody have a good day

Today we've been to the 'Apple Day' at a local Stately Home. Lots of activities for the grandkids. Apple squishing and pressing to make yummy apple juice. Archery and axe throwing (little plastic ones). Apple toasting with cinamon sugar over an open fire. Birds of prey to stroke. It rained. Thay had a great time :)

Sue I have OA in both knees as well, predominately the right one... fortunately I am still able to walk very smartly and fast... sometimes I;ll go to walk down stairs and immediately the right knee will stop me... or I'll be walking for 10 minutes and the pain will pull me up..other times I can walk for a couple of hours without it being sore.. best thing you can do is walk, ..use it or lose it..they say , and that's what I try and do.... Beautiful food and pics, but more important is the 3 friends and cheering up, you certainly deserve it.

Been missing for a couple of days.

Hubby wanted ear corn to feed the wild life.

Went to New Wilmington , PA.
Lovely Amish settlement there.
White houses, farms, ,, horse drawn buggies.
The fields are well maintained with crops, horses, cows, sheep.

We went to APPLE CASTLE part open air market & shop.
It was busy.

We walked around looking ta canned goods with strange names.
I bought a pint jar of old fashioned sauerkraut.
Hubby wrinkled up his noise when he saw it.

Saturday we drove around lot of the areas he did spraying for the farmers.

We came home with a truck load of field corn.
Some of the corn needed the shucks removed.

That took some time & moving the earn corn into barrels

Barrels of corn are on the front porch !!!!
