I was baptized once as an infant in
The Lutheran Church.
The Lutheran Church.
I hope not.I was baptized a Roman Catholic but left church at age 25.
I don't like the practice of baptizing infants. In my opinion people should do it if they are old enough for the act and want it.
For this reason the Baptists who baptize teenagers are better in my opinion.
But I don't think that it makes a difference at all regarding the realm of heaven if someone is baptized or not.
Some Christian faiths consider the Catholic religion to be a false religion, something to do with the path into heaven. Christians believe the only path to heaven is by surrendering yourself to Jesus Christ, nothing else matters. Catholics believe you need to confess your sins to God and do good works to get to heaven.I'm a little confused...aren't Catholics considered Christians?
Thank you for answering C50. Sounds like Catholicism is in step with Islam in that regard. We have a saying..."worship The Creator, not the creation" and only pray to Allah (God). Only He can forgive our sins. BTW, in case you haven't read my other posts about being Muslim, I was raised Christian and accepted Islam when I was in my late 40s, so I was actually a Christian for more years than I've been Muslim. I stopped attending church regularly for about half of that time though, because I got discouraged by what I saw and heard in churches. Some Christian faiths consider the Catholic religion to be a false religion, something to do with the path into heaven. I just had this conversation last week with a Christian friend of mine, I kind of paraphrased what he said because after a minute all I heard was blah, blah, blah.
