Hi Everybody!
My name is Peter and I live in Virginia. Yes, I'm a senior, 72 to be exact. I enjoy talking to people, especially men and women who are also seniors.. Delighted to find a senior forum and looking forward to chatting with you all and hopefully, making some new friends.
I have to learn all about this site, so bear with me! I am excited to see all the topics people are talking about here and look forward to contributing to some.
 

The profile picture is Buddy, my 9 1/2 year old rescue dog. I rescued this beagle from the Humane Society when he was two years old. He was found on the street with injuries from a dog fight and weighing only 13 pounds. He has been living a much better life since then. He now weighs about 25 pounds and doing well. He doesn't like the idea of eating less food but I have to keep talking to him about this issue!

Buddy is adorable .. bless you for rescuing him. We have had several dogs, but are now in a "no pets" condo. However, we live vicariously through my daughter, who has a 10 yr. old Corgi. I hear you, about how much dogs love to eat!

Thank you, Pinky. I grew up with Scottish terriers when I was young and then started with beagles. They are a great breed of dogs, friendly, great companions and good watchdogs, too. He is sleeping while I type away on this site!

Thanks for the warm welcome, MACKTEXAS. I appreciate it very much. There's a special place in my heart when I meet dog lovers and especially, dog rescue folks. One year and you're still learning..now I feel better!
