First thing you notice about a man or woman.

As a former state trooper, I am fairly good at telling if people are lying to me.
As I have said before, I have a son who was an Officer with the Sheriff's Dept. His new wife and I had a rough start
and he would stop by my home and talk to me about whatever she was upset about, to get my side so he could sort it out.
I had to laugh because by midpoint I would see those facial tells he wears and ask him... "Son? Am I now speaking with my
son or the Officer?" He would look away and smile, turn and look at me and say "Fair nuff, you caught me, son is back"
I am the only one that could do that and get that reaction.

I have to tell you about a memorable experience I shared with a state trooper. My son had been in a car accident. His vision was blocked by a car in one lane blocking the other lane as he waited at a stop sign. Yes, there was a car there.. the car hit him... fortunately, just car damage... no injuries..
My son called me at home since he was just a few minutes away...I got there and he told me what happened and I heard him tell the trooper it was his fault. I looked at the trooper and put my arm on his shoulder..."Just the phone call every father wants to hear from his son."
What he replied has stayed with me for the ten years that have passed since then.
He said, "Sir, it could have been worse. I could have called you.,"

Never thought of that...we need the women on this site to respond to that conclusion about the nails..
I’ll respond 😊

Well perhaps some truth to it but on the other hand, I can only speak for myself.

I’m not really fussy about my nails, I choose to keep them clean and short. Probably the
Rest of me is more kept up.

The stuff I do with my hands has so much variation during any given day, I can’t and
Don’t spend too much time on my fingernail’s.

Probably 10 years ago I stopped with nail
Shop manicures and polish etc.

Today's woman has spoken!

I guess I notice if they are healthy looking or not.

Their expression, if I see someone looking depressed or lost I will nearly always make contact in a way
to get them to smile. I hate to see people looking like no one notices them. Man or woman. Not in
a flirty way. Just something ironic that makes them think and smile or laugh.
That's very thoughtful and a kind gesture on your part! I knew you had that in you!

When I see someone with chipped nail polish, I have negative thoughts. I especially dislike it on young kids. Those, I’m thinking negative thoughts about the parents.

My nails are clean but definitely not attractive. Probably from biting them when younger.

I wear clear nail polish most of the time because, I really dislike it when I wear coloured nail polish and it chips. (y)

I used to have a standing appointment every week for a manicure; my nails were beautiful. Always dressed nicely. Then I moved to this rural place requiring hard, dirty, physical work. Everything changed. Now I am satisfied if I can just get clean.
Me too. The last time I got a manicure it felt odd. I used to get them often.

Is he clean, tidy, and well-groomed? Or does he look to have just tumbled out of bed? I'm not saying he has to look like a model, but being clean and having checked himself in a mirror before leaving the house goes a long way.

I once met a beautiful girl who had one blue eye and one green eye.
I was too polite to ask, but like most females, she read my mind and said, "I got the blue eye off my Dad and the green eye off my Mum," then she enchanted me with a big smile. 😊
When I saw you had posted @timoc I expected you to have said something like "The first thing I notice is, how much ice cream have they bought and do they have pocketfuls of toffees" ;):)
