Netflix: In search of...

...Looking for light situational comedies with older actors, on par with such series as The Kominisky Method, and Grace and Franky. When I need a pick-me-up this is the genre I go to.
I agree with the two you mentioned as being great sitcoms, but aside from them, there is nothing new that I would put in the same category. I tried watching Leanne, but just couldn't get on board. I tried Man On The Inside, but it didn't impress either. I have pretty much given up on anything new that compares. As a result, I decided to watch the old series Mad About You again. Like Frazier, it had quality writers. It's good for laughs. Maybe all the witty writers don't work cheap, and the budget just won't allow for it anymore.

The Thursday Murder Club was pretty good. The Chair was good, although not quite in the comedies with older actors genre, but I am a Sandra Oh fan. The Good Place...I really tried, but just couldn't...wouldn't...just not feelin' it.

The Laundromat with Meryl Streep was (y)

I liked A Man on the Inside, I did see something about a 2nd season.

Grace and Frankie getting a new season? I would like that!
Yes, there are rumblings of Grace and Frankie getting a new season, but if Netflix goes ahead with it, the release would likely be almost a year away. Still, it will be good news for next fall viewing.

@Nathan, you were right about The Chair, it's pretty good and worth watching. I think the writing carries it, so thank you for the tip. I am looking forward to watching The Laundromat.
