My BFF's Niece Won On Wheel Of Fortune

Lauren was convinced to go on the show at first by her father-in-law (FIL), then other family members. They noticed that she's really good at solving the puzzles. Her FIL even offered to pay her expenses so she could be on the show. The episode she was on, which aired on Halloween, was taped about 4 or 5 weeks ago. My BFF found out from Lauren that they tape all 5 episodes for the week in one day. Also, contestants and their families have to pay for their own flights, accommodations and only the contestants get free food during the tapings. If a contestant wins a car, they are not allowed to sell it for the cash.

Lauren was not able to tell my BFF how she did on the show and BFF's brother, grand niece and nephew couldn't say that they went up on stage because that would have been a giveaway. This Jersey Girl did us proud and I'm very happy for her. Her husband, who's in finance. figured out that she'll probably get to keep a little more than half, after taxes. Still a nice chunk of change for a day's "work". She won't get her winnings for a couple of months! Her daughter loves going to Barnes & Noble to get books. BFF gifts to her always includes books. This will buy her a lot of books and be a nice addition to her college fund.

From left to right: Ryan Seacrest, Lauren's brother and her daughter, Lauren of course, her husband and her dad (my BFF's brother).

Yep...in the funeral home. I've been there, but not for the parties. I had to laugh when she said her father drove them around in the hearse for Halloween. Yet another thing to tease him about. Lauren wound up working for her father until he recently retired and sold the funeral home. When she talked about loving true crime shows, I'm surprised she didn't mention that her grandfather may have had something to do with that. He was once Chief of Police in a neighboring town. Thanks for posting the video. BFF said it was also recorded so the family could watch it.

I grew up next door to a family that ran a funeral parlor business. There were 5 boys and 3 girls in the family. 3 of the boys got into the funeral business as a career.
It's a creepy business. One time I was in the basement of the Funeral Parlor and there was a dead guy on a gurney. I was freaked out and got out of there quick.
