Yes. Or the wonderful peace of it.Medusa, your making paganism seem very attractive. It already is, of course. But most people don't recognize the love or the meaning in it.
@JustDave
That's the part of pagan religions I appreciate. The ones I know of, and granted that's not a lot, are oriented toward the positive and seem to appreciate how important the gift of our natural world is. That in itself is worth worshiping. I'm not a pagan, but pagans seem to be OK with that. I don't know that I actually worship the natural world, but I stand in front of it with a deep awe. Anyway, if the universe is listening to me, it knows how I feel. If it's not listening, that's OK too, because it doesn't change my feelings toward it.@JustDave
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we were always able to push away the negativity that seems to surround us? That's the goal!!! Appreciation for the natural world around us is all part of reaching that goal!![]()

Wow! And you say you are not a Pagan?????!! Everything in your last statement is 100% Pagan! That's the part of pagan religions I appreciate. Wow! That is an wonderful surprise!!! I agree that your hubby is awesome.....and thoughtful! My husband brought this home for me tonight. I'm not really into skulls, sans sugar skulls, but I do like this one. It has an interesting lift to the "eyes" and a nice Mulberry scent. What I loved though was what my husband said when he showed it to me: I got this for your spell table. He was referring to my alter, but I was so charmed by this usage that my alter is now and forever my spell table.![]()
My husband is really very awesome.

Simply awesome.I live near a huge lake, with over 1000 miles of shoreline. (Yes, that number is rght!) We love going out on the lake, but do to circumstances beyond our control, it's been several years since we've been able to get out there.
Yesterday, we went for a boat ride, and it was wonderful!!! As we were driving around, I realize that I could feel each of the Elements.....
WATER: The lake was not quite calm, but had small waves dancing across it's surface. It was warmer (on my hand) than expected, too!
๐ฌ AIR: There was a light breeze, and a beautiful cloudless blue sky!
EARTH: The trees around the lake are such show offs, in all of their fall colors! Each trying to outdo the other!
FIRE: The warmth of the sun made the boat ride the perfect temperature. And it added pretty sparkles to the tips of each of the little waves!
It was a day of appreciation, and an exchange of positive energy.....just what I needed!

I love this. Now whenever I see that skull, I'm going to be reminded of just that, my deep connection with my husband. Thank you, @Trila.I've been thinking about this, quite a bit.
I love that you saw the beauty in the giving of this gift, and received it graciously even though you aren't into skulls! It was something that you needed to have.....not the skull itself, but rather the physical reminder of the connection and love that you and your husband share!

I love that you had this experience!I wasn't feeling great about life, the universe and everything when I set off on the first dog walk this morning. My head hurt, my body hurt and I wasn't in a good place, in my mind or in my spirit.
Then I saw a crow. I love crows. Have you ever noticed how, when you look at a crow, they look back at you? I mean, they really look at you. That's because they are able to recognize faces.
So I saw a crow, in a branch just a couple feet in front of me and not even two feet above my head. He was huge and just sitting there. He caught my attention my cawing at me and I said, "Oh, hey there." And then he just stared at me, like he wasn't in a hurry. He was looking at me so intently I thought to take my sunglasses off to make eye contact. I had things in my hands though, Lucius' leash, the bag of dog bags, my phone, so I didn't. But now I wish I'd made the effort.
I had to move on after a few minutes because my new friend apparently wasn't going anywhere soon.
It lifted my mood. Crows are so cool.

Edit: Added last picture.
And then I took one out.
That is truly wonderful, @Trila. And thank you for the enriching presence, camaraderie, and comfort you bring to this space.I love that you had this experience!
This is my daily life, as long as I'm "in a good place". It has been a hard and stressful year for me, and I've forgotten who and what I am. Coming to this thread and sharing with everyone, has helped me make a comeback and I'm feeling better, appreciating more, and putting the stress behind me.
My thanks to all of you who come here.....
