Food cart and unhealthy habits

At the Baseball on Sunday.
There was a Coffee cart run by a lady. Her son (about 12 years old) was with her.
Mum was sitting down, her son was making himself a drink, using the stainless steel milk jug.
He pours the contents into a cup then licks the spout of the jug. Does not wipe it clean. 😋
Mum does not see this and the jug is ready for the next customer.

A lot goes on people never see. One example is food storage warehouse (and stores). Most of them have rats that run all over the food at night urinating as they run over vegetablestables and cans. (that's why people wash cans of drinks off before drinking and washing vegetables). Not to mention what goes in restaurants by servers to rude and demanding customers before the food comes out (as a former waiter I have seen people eat and drink some nasty stuff, which is why I am polite and not demanding. Life is like that. Ya never know and I don't sweat most of it.

In my student days I did service work part-time to top up the shekels. It was mostly working behind the bar and the way some staff members didn't wash their hands before leaving the toilet still gives me the creeps.

When I was a uni I used to work in a pizza parlour. On a regular basis a bloke who worked at the local burger place used to come in for a coffee and a chat.

One day he told me about a time when he was the grill chef, and a customer sent his burger back, saying it wasn't cooked enough. At first the chef just put it back on the grill for another couple of minutes, then sent it out again. However the customer sent it back again, saying it still wasn't cooked enough for his taste.

It was a busy night and the chef was getting rather short tempered, so he set up a wire grill over the nearest bin, put the burger on it, pissed on the burger, then put it back on the cooking grill for a few seconds. Then he sent it out again, and the customer didn't complain any further!

So the moral is don't piss off the chef or he'll likely piss you off in return.

When the restaurants reopened after the pandemic I was slow to return. Our favorite Chinese buffet was one place I was sure I'd never go back to.

Well, we're doing it all by now and I don't know why. I sit and watch people at the buffet, licking their fingers and smoothing their mustaches over and over while using the tongs. The little children will touch the food with their fingers and some women will actually reach in, get a little piece and taste it, before going to the next dish with those same fingers.
