Holiday Bazaar at local church tomorrow (Nov 15th)

It's about 20 miles away (one way). It's been going on for decades. Mom and I used to go every year. After she passed, I sort of shoved it to the back shelf of my priorities. A few years ago I remembered and invited an aunt to go with me. We did it for a while, then she started having mobility issues and has understandably turned down my invitations the last two years.
A great deal of the volume of the sale is indeed Christmas items, but as I am trying to sell my old decorations, I go more to look for other things I collect. I went last year and came home with some small horse figurines.
They also have a food sale and lunch counter, but I have never bought any food items. Three years ago, my aunt bought a sandwich, dessert and beverage. Mom and I used to go to their suppers. They had two a year - roast beef in the spring and turkey in the fall. I don't know if they still do that. Another local church serves a turkey dinner, but they are getting pricey - $20 for an adult admission.

I misspoke. The sale is 17.7 miles from my house (I just tried to estimate). It seems a new group in in charge of the sale this year. Entrance was always through the front door of the church's community room. This year they made the attendees walk around the back and come in the rear entrance. Prices are also more. Before most things were 25 and 50¢. I didn't see anything less than $1. Anyway, I can never pass up a cat or a cross.
