Man skis down Mt. Everest - world first and without oxygen

My God that was incredible..thanks for posting. I watched the whole thing... the camera work was out of this literal world.... and my heart was in my mouth the whole way down.. the last 5 minutes, I felt sure he's going to fall right off the edge, I was on the very edge of my seat.... in those few minutes he must have felt the most alone in the world...

Superb!! It's people like him who should get Gold medals.. not someone running a 100 metres.. on a track

A friend sent me this. I thought I'd just watch a few minutes, but it was so mesmerizing and suspenseful that I watched the whole 30 minutes. What shape the guy must be in to be able to handle the thing oxygen up there for 18 hours without external oxygen!
I watched all 31 minutes. It was tough to watch especially since I'm acrophobic. I was nervous for him, but what a feat!

What a risky thing to do. You sure have to be on your game every second.
putting aside the fact that for the vast majority of the descent, he had only 33 % of lung capacity..... and the fact that he was being guided down by the helicopter etc for most of the way so as to avoid the very worst rocky areas..... the last few minutes of the descent was the riskiest of all, how he didn't come flying off the edge is between him and is God..

How he knows which direction to take is mind boggling.
I know ...even given that he'd just climbed up it... and could pretty much follow his tracks back down... he was at time disorientated, due to lack of oxygen,.. and it also snowed at one point... I just think he's incredible.. and he must apart from being an expert mountaineer..be an incredible skier as well

Someone said slope and all I see up there is Nope !!! ... not to mention slippery and a little chilly. BRrrr

Absolutely incredible! How he didn't pass out is beyond me.
Was I the only one who held her breath when he went so close to the edge?
Simply amazing!

Thanks so much for posting.
