How are you today?

It's sorta cold ❄️ today. I will wait awhile on walking to the drugstore. I hope we get a warmer day soon.

I have a few loads of laundry 🧺 to do this week. I got some done last week.

I feel like I'm not all there today but then I haven't had my coffee today. I think it's too late in the day to drink caffeine. Maybe I will have a cup of tea instead.

I've been looking into Senior places to live. So far there are 3 in my city with 30 percent of income rent. I'm leaning towards one on a main Street but haven't gone to fill out any applications yet.

I did call one of them and haven't heard back yet. I'm going to try and get a phone number for one near me. If and when I move I won't have a car anymore and wonder how I would take some things there. I saw that you can rent cars from Uber. Of course I will get movers too .

I have to get in better shape by that time so all the moving won't kill my body!😄
 
Breezy right now out. Physical Therapy time soon so actually looking forward to that so I can get this
chunk out of my right ear, the quicker the better.
Bought a blood sugar tester for home and my test showed my blood sugar went up from 42 to 120.....Whoop whoop!! So one thing solved.
May mulch some leaves when I get home before they aren't deeper than ankle height till they all fall.
 
Caught a hockey game with husband last night, which was fun. Our team lost, but they played hard. One of our players took a stick to the face which caused a nasty cut down his upper lip. He came back to the bench with his face stitched up.

I'm used to injuries in hockey, but something about this one was very disturbing to me. I woke up thinking about it this morning. Also, I was angry that only a four-minute-minor penalty was assessed when it should have been a five-minute-major and possibly game misconduct.

Ah well, "bad" calls are part of every sport, I suppose.
 
Busy morning on the phone, first the eye doc confirming
app't for this thurs afternoon, then furniture lady saying
to exp delivery of my new recline about 2pm tomorrow, then
my check in on phone with care cleaner, she will be here friday...
And I called a friend to arrange for the drive to eye doc on thurs...that should be it for the day.....
 
Hello. I've been gone for a few days trying to, as we say in the South, "get my mind right." I've been way to busy wallowing in self-pity to post. I might be done wallowing.

At least I've started moving around a bit. Went with DD to Publix for her to get some BOGO items that expire tomorrow.

Did some overdue gardening chores. It's warm and sunny so no excuse for not getting them done, then tended to some perennials indoors in front of the kitchen window. I took cuttings to root in water and will plant them indoors when they're ready and grow them nicely until spring when they can be planted in the garden, reason being that they're so blankety-blank expensive to buy them at the garden center. I just wanted more of them. A penny saved...

There's still kitty litter to vacuum up...why do cats have to scatter that stuff all over the place? Grrrr.

@hawkdon Is there any apple pie🥧 left? I can be there in a minute.

Well no there ain't any pie left, you were off somewhere so I et it all by my lonesome!!!! Welcome back ;):love::cool:

I don't think it is heated, but yes it has power lift, up to
standing position.....will be here at 2pm....thanks....
 
Whenever I see the title of this thread I think: How am I? And the answer invariably comes back the same:

I'm good. I'm happy. My life is going well - so much better than I dared dream when I was growing up. My relationships with family, friends and neighbors are smooth. All who are close to me are in good health. Then I think, should I even type that? Should I be trying to find something to whine about?

I guess I'll answer this way: Thank you all for the daily reminder to ponder my life for a moment and to count my blessings.

Well :poop: I got the wrong recliner, or so it seems, they put it in
and hooked it in power, and it is only to lift to recline position, not
to standup position,,,,,,,grrrrrr so now the boss is seeing what can
be done....when I chatted wiith them on website they had told me
it stands me up, this one does not.......ggrrrrrrer:mad::poop:

Grrrr, I can feel your wrath, Don. Let's take a few deep breaths and wait for them to fix it....or refund. Hope it's soon.

I have eye appointment Thurs afternoon as well. It has been a while. Have a new doc because old doc is booked through March and I have issues. Good luck with yours.
