Angels, the soul, and other spiritual matters

Feywon and others, you're likely familiar with Lorna Byrne, who is able to see spirits and angels. I watched a fascinating discussion video last night with her and Mark Vernon, who has done many videos with Rupert Sheldrake, and a bunch of others.

I believe Lorna sees what she says she sees and senses. If she suffered hallucinations she would surely show other obvious mental issues, which she does not. And her earnestness and truthfulness are perfectly obvious.

Angels rarely show themselves to humans, and it's all too easy for spirits to deceive the living. One has to keep an open mind, as with all things. Spirits often send information in dreams and during sleep. Someone may wake one morning with the solution to a problem, which has been given when their minds were elsewhere.

@ChiroDoc i'll watch the video later and come back to comment. Have to take the circular saw to some large branches delivered in my firewood. Our overnight lows going down to high 20s F this week. Such chores not only necessary but help me stay more 'grounded' aware of still existing in material world despite how aware i am at times of the ethereal.

i learned this fairly young but was in my late 20s, early 30s before i learned to make use of it. To define the problem during pre-sleep meditation and ask for guidance, inspiration.

I know what you mean. I miss my wood burning stove I used for years living in far north Calif. on the Redwood Coast. There's nothing like wood heat to keep one toasty!

I tried listening but found it boring. Probably because I grew up poor and also used my imagination to create my own intricate view of the world in order to break up the boredom and stress of being poor. I never forgot it was just my imagination or made it my reality though. Sorry.

I would recommend watching this video by Doreen Virtue, a former well-known teacher of New Age teacher. In summary, seemingly harmless and helpful New Age practices are a pathway to occultism.

@ChiroDoc Ok. Finally watched, tho fell asleep about 2/3 of way thru, partly due to physical tiredness. But also i was having trouble engaging with it. While i'd not heard of either Ms. Byrne or the man talking to her that was the only element of it that felt 'new'. And much of seemed redundant to me.

Like a lot of content creators these days the gentleman didn't seem to have a good handle on the importance of editing in video content as well as in writing. Tho for someone freshly dealing with people who label them strange (or other, more unpleasant things) for experiences they have had it very well could be helpful.

I may look for if there's any more concise videos about or featuring her.

Yeah, Mark Vernon is a professor and philosophy expert. But he kept drawing long winded parallels between what Lorna Byrne was trying to describe and Vernon's love of Dante, et al.

There are many videos of Vernon with the great Rupert Sheldrake, which I prefer.

Yes, Byrne has other videos on YouTube, FWIW.
