..something/s that wouldn't trigger most people..but for some reason makes you feel queasy....or disgusted

Not the taste of food..or the sight of your partner..lol... but some every day thing that really gives you the Ick

Mine is Vloggers ( youtube creators) who drink and or eat while talking or presenting on their Youtbe channels.... it makes me turn the video off immediately , I cannot stand it

The worst one was the other day... a very serious channel which covers legal issues.. the guy was sitting there munching into an apple right into the mic... *urgh*

LOL>.I thought I was the only one. I make a dash to stop the microwave before the bleeping starts...

My last microwave was particularly annoying, because not only did it bleep when it was finished but it went on bleeping every few seconds until the door was opened..:eek:

My new one fortunately doesn't do that

My parents used to sometimes eat tomato herring. The smell was so bad to me that it drove me out for hours. Thank goodness they almost never ate it.
Can’t abide certain smells
I can't stand that smell etither, my X ate that.. and sardines in tomato sauce... Yuk!...the smell... I know people who make their partners eat it outside and not in the house

vocal fry
I had to look this up. Never knew there was a name for it or that some do it intentionally, but I'm not on Tik Tok, don't watch influencers, and only go on YouTube for some music videos, an occasional interview, or very specific how-to instructions.

A demonstration of vocal fry comes at the 40 second mark of this speech pathologist's explanation:

No - I just didn't want to muddy up the vocal fry explanation with something else.

Intentional belching grosses me out - even as a kid I thought that was disgusting, but some find it amusing.

In grocery stores, it's total ick when I see shoppers lick their fingers so they can more easily open those thin plastic grocery bags that they fill with their fruit and veggie selections. Then they use their spit-laden fingers to go through and choose the items they want to buy, contaminating those they decline with their saliva. Yuk.

I like watching True Crime videos on Youtube and the women who do makeup tutorials while they talk about someone being stabbed give me the ick. Not sure this could be considered "ordinary" but here you go.
