They are peanuts covered with a candy shell -- someone poured the candy mixture over the nuts and the candy hardened. Then they sold them to unsuspecting people who became addicted to them. Then m&m's came along and due to the chocolate, had sales in the zillions. And French Burnt Peanuts became an also-ran.I've never had any of those ever. So I don't even know what they are or what they taste like.
