Plan to replace toilet flush valve, bought this yesterday.

2X Long Life Toilet Fill Valve2X Long Life Toilet Fill Valve

Korky2X Long Life Toilet Fill Valve
Model# 528XCM
$15.97

Not really looking forward to getting down on the floor to do this but paying for a plumber to do such a simple job makes no sense to me.

well my car the one that was totalled in July with me in it... had 148k on the clock..... and it still looked in great condition and I'd still have it now if it hadn't been for a lunatic driver....

Yeah, I wish you did still have it.

Yesterday, went to get gas and the car wouldn't start afterward. My son, the new boss of me (he thinks!), made arrangements for a tow truck without telling me, which I was in the process of doing. This cool guy shows up in a *car* and says he can jump mine. He had to go home and get some contraption on wheels to jump it because jumping didn't work with his gizmos. He did not have his tow truck because he had the day off. So I took the car home, after getting his number in case I need a tow.

A young woman showed up who knew the cool guy and unscrewed a little lid on the battery and advised me to pour Coke on it to get rid of white stuff. Boy, don't I sound like a genius!

As for my dear son, it's only in the last month or so that he has taken the initiative in either doing stuff or in telling me what to do. He's being firm and polite, pretty nice about it really. I wonder if aliens are inhabiting his body now. He's always been a really nice guy he's funny and interesting and accomplishes things that amaze me.

For instance, he writes a lot -- in Old English -- and uses a different alphabet when he writes (or runes) so nobody else can read it. And he writes and speaks this stuff just as fast as if he were doing it in English. He has clients in the UK that he does translating for. This is not a career because, frankly, few people need his services.

Lively Monday night with much dancing at a packed nightclub to a Dead jam band, and up till 1am, then awoke at my usual 6am. So a bit blah this Tuesday morning that will be a quiet recovery day. Yesterday, did complete manual HTML coding for 2 more web pages that still need to spelling/grammar check using MS Word and then may load up to the web. Also, will do laundry in a few minutes, and drive to a supermarket to buy a couple food items for a Thanksgiving get together with 9 of us. And may drive a couple miles to a Best Buy to purchase an unlocked Google Pixel 10 Pro in the Porcelain (white) color for $749 plus $70 tax as San Jose has a high sales tax rate of 9.275%.

Steady ran falling.
Not making much head way cleaning downstairs bathroom.

Took time out to make myself some chicken stir fry.
Couldn't find the instructions how to cook the rice.
Must have lost them.

Followed something I found online,,, chewy rice.

Got short note from the guys,, they are on the way back.
I asked for a time frame,, of course no answer.

Winter storm may to hit this area , late Wednesday or Thursday.

Might slow down the deer hunting son from coming?

O
Or, just a Dodge truck engine.

That depends — are you putting it back stock, or are you putting it back “Derik Bieri style “

You must remember the Wedge Head. I saw one modified when I was 17, so 1964 or ‘65.

It beat the pants off a hemi. It was in a Dodge Coronet sedan. What we called a Sleeper back then🤠🤠

I never could understand why the Wedgehead never attained the popularity the hemi did, but I am not a mechanic. My knowledge only goes far enough to say I was a decent outpatient surgeon in times of need when we could still work on our cars in the backyard.

Stupid question, @stretch5881: What is that in the second photo?

Looks like you've been productive.

Rebuilding it stock.
Yes, I do remember the 426 wedge. Those were great times.

9pm now. Got most done including checking my 2 new web pages that still need to be loaded, probably tomorrow. But not the Pixel 10 Pro, that is more about what I really need to do first before actually making a purchase.

So need to read up on latest technical info on exchanging Android smartphone SIM cards while keeping the same Consumer Cellular Service. If I take the SIM out and move it to the new phone, since it is my only phone, I lose that method of communicating during the transfer process. Thus, want to know exactly how they expect customers to deal with that. May mean from my desktop, an Internet chat session or using Email is more logical. Then too, moving personal user files over, and looking through my phone app listing to see if any may need setups or updates.

Felt good getting all the clothes laundered that I don't do but ever few weeks when enough accumulates for a load. And yeah, those Levi 505 at 30x30 I wear had plenty of dirt at the boot level from days of my wet field work. No breakfast, then for lunch, had an enjoyable $3.28 Marie Calendar small Chicken Pot Pie with whole milk. This evening had a section of fancy apple pie I bought. Mic'd thoroughly, added vanilla ice cream plus some chocolate syrup.

Binge ate 18 each Trader Joe's dark chocolate mini peanut butter cups. So great to be living in this modern age just for the sake of the visceral pleasure enjoyment of eating desserts. Now for my main cours haha, am going to make half the $3.99 16 ounce container of Walmart deli broccoli cheddar cheese soup. Am nuts over the cheese taste.
