Coffee Creamer Charts

Can't drink mine black. Never could. I use 1% fat milk, but at restaurants many have the little cups of mystery creamer, usually some kind of "Delight", with imprinted ingredients listed, if at all, too tiny to see. These charts accompanied a lengthy article on creamers. Too involved to post, but could do it, given some time. Ask for the article, and ye shall receive it! imp

That's a LOT of calories. Sometimes when I'm in the US and have a coffee I feel like being decadent and add half and half. Even bad coffee tastes good with half and half!

At home I use almond or soy milk in my coffee.

We use half and half. Have used it for years. We were in Atlantic City, a few years ago, and went to a buffet for dinner. I opened the little coffee creamer and started to put it in my coffe when this big blob of something went into my coffee. Since then, I'm pretty careful when using these things.

I use whole milk.....and so little of it that it's not enough to worry about.
I drink only ONE mug of coffee/day.

I didn't even read the whole chart. (Tempest in a teapot, ya ask me.)

But if you’re diabetic or struggle with controlling your blood sugar levels, it is a good idea to stick with all-natural coffee creamers such as cows milk or cream. The natural creamers tend not to spike my blood sugar like some of the artificial brands can. I always use half n half. That's more than a 'Tempest in a teapot' to me.

Yow, for people who drink a lot of coffee that's a lot of calories. Hubby uses those delight things. I start my day with maybe three cups of black coffee and I'm good. Tea and I use equal and skim milk.

Me, I drink LOTS of coffee, perhaps average 6-8 cups daily, using 1% fat milk mostly, if at home, whatever the restaurant brings if away. I figger all that milk guarantees adequate calcium, and a bit of protein. I feel a lot of us are protein-deficient in diet often. Therefore, I try for at least 50 grams of it daily. Protein and fat go hand-in-hand, no doubt. The fat, while I don't fear it as fat, but rather as calories, I try to weigh-in against the protein contained, like, fat calories vs. protein amount ratio. Fish is pretty good, as is poultry. Legumes, beans, are fair for protein, but do introduce fat and carbs. And they lack that one specific protein which I can never remember.

Regarding vegetable fat, I note that many prepared products today, like pasta sauce, contain soy bean oil, as well as sugar. So do some bean-containing canned prepared foods, like chili. Dang me, I'm getting' hungry! imp

They've done studies where they say a moderate wallop of caffeine can enhance your workout. I take a good hike most mornings and I think it helps.

I used to drink lots of coffee in the winter, probably 10 cups of decaf per day. I prefer no hint of sweetness in coffee (or any other flavor for that matter).

Started with Coffee-Mate original years ago, but didn't like the hint of sweet. Found a generic brand that has no sugar or corn syrup solids, and only 10 calories a tsp. I fogot the name. Then I learned to take it black---a lot less trouble and saves 100 calories per day (I can have half a donut with the coffee:)). The only problem with black is they make coffee very strong at most restaurants, and it tastes bitter if taken black. Sometimes I could water it down with hot water at serve yourself places.

So I'm lucky because the way I like it calories are not a problem.
