I mean to do this every morning, but actually remember to about half the mornings. It's nice though because after the intention is set, every sip of my coffee reminds me of and strengthens it.
Sigils are talismanic, a form of sympathetic magic in that they are thought to affect a person's reality and/or the subconscious (which, will then affect a person's reality.)
I haven't done a lot of work with sigils in past, but have been feeling drawn toward them, of late.
Today, I started my journey into the world of sigil magic by drawing this protection sigil on the inside of my left forearm with a purple eyeliner pencil.
It is my plan to continue with sigil magic by drawing the needed sigils (or asking husband to) on my temples with, when I can find it, a white/iridescent makeup (or otherwise erasable) pencil. Something that only really shows up when in direct light. I think that would be most effective and have the added benefit of being pretty.
Husband presented me with this little booklet, yesterday. Lovely gift.
Most of the sigils are a bit complex for me and wouldn't work for drawing on my body or face, but the descriptions are interesting and there is space for notes where I can draw and explain the simpler sigils I am using.
Honestly, I don't see myself moving to more complex sigils as I don't see the need, really. And I think eventually, the most effective practice will be creating my own sigils. It's all about interpretation, intention and energy.
This is what's left of the second iteration of my self love spell. Weirdly, it took me a few months of daily use to burn through the first one. But this time, I could swear I remade this spell only a month or so ago.
In any event, I cannot leave it for even one more day. The candle has burned all the way down to the herbs and petals and, this morning I found myself holding a small bonfire whilst saying my intentions.
Here we are, all freshly remade and ready. I used less herbs and flowers this time in an attempt to make things less flammable.
When I ordered new pink candles, the picture I saw was of the soft pink, meditative candles I'd been using. What arrived were 20 of these bright, party pink candles. But sure, these'll work too.
